Chapter 449 Do You Believe That I Can Kill You Here?
Regarding the “accident” with Matt, both of them understood
it without saying a word. They had been old friends for so many years that a single glance or gesture
could convey their thoughts to each other.
“Does it even matter if I can let go or not? He’s still living his life happily,” Grace said, lowering her
gaze. She lifted her glass and took a sip. “We’re all adults. Apart from being responsible for ourselves,
no one else is obligated to take responsibility for you.”
Her words were harsh but reasonable.
In the world of adults, no one should be responsible for others in the end. Each person should be
responsible for themselves.
“Grace…” Evelyn wanted to say something but stopped on second thought for fear of hurting her.
Grace waved her hand and said, “You don’t have to comfort

Grace, glass after glass. However, after just an hour, she started feeling a bit dizzy.
At this time, her phone in her pocket started ringing. She saw it was a call from Lucy, realizing she had
forgotten to inform her before leaving.
Worried that Lucy might be anxious, Evelyn quickly informed
Grace and hurriedly ran out of the bar with her phone in hand. She didn’t notice that she had turned
into an empty corner. “Hello, Mom,” she said.
“Evelyn, it’s almost midnight. Where are you?”
“I’m out for a walk with Grace. She’s troubled, so I’m talking to her. I won’t be going back home tonight.
I’ll stay at her place. You and Dad should go to bed early,” Evelyn said.
“Why don’t you take Grace to our house to sleep? It’s so late.
Don’t disturb her…”
“It’s okay, Mom. Grace lives alone. Don’t worry.”
Lucy checked the time and said, “Okay, be careful. Don’t stay up too late.”
“Okay, got it. Good night, Mom.” When Evelyn hung up the

phone and was about to leave, a few people suddenly jumped out of the intersection.
Evelyn looked closer and saw that they were all young boys in their twenties. Three of them supported
a petite girl who appeared to be heavily intoxicated, swaying and struggling to maintain her balance
while walking.
“Can we do it here? Are you sure there are no surveillance cameras?” one of the boys with dyed
blonde hair asked.
The one who had been asked was obviously much bolder. “It’s okay. I’ve checked it in advance. Don’t
worry!”
As soon as he finished speaking, one of the boys stood outside as a lookout while the other two began
touching the girl inappropriately. The girl showed clear signs of discomfort and kept pushing them
away, but she lacked the strength to resist effectively.
Evelyn looked around. Perhaps she had drunk too much, so she went straight up and asked, “What are

Hearing the voice, those boys were all shocked. The yellow-haired boy cursed, “Damn, where did this
woman come from? She almost scared me to death!”
The other two also looked over. When their eyes fell on Evelyn’s beautiful face, they changed from
anger to teasing.
h, what a beauty.”
The yellow-haired boy reached out to touch her chin.
Evelyn frowned in disgust and turned her head away. “Don’t touch me.”
“Well, you’ve got quite an attitude. It’s more interesting than this unresponsive one!” With that, the
yellow-haired boy released the woman in his arms and walked a few steps toward Evelyn, saying,
“Miss, I see you’ve had quite a few drinks too. How about having some fun with us?”
Evelyn brushed his hand away and said coldly, “Don’t touch me!”
“Oh.” The boy smiled and became arrogant under the influence of alcohol. “Do you believe that I can
kill you here?”
After that, he gave his accomplice a look. The other two boys understood and rushed forward to grab
Evelyn’s shoulder. The yellow-haired boy who had shouted just now seized the opportunity to pinch her
chin, forcing her to raise her head.
