Mr. Carnes said, “Sometimes, once you say what's been weighing on your heart, you can finally let it go. Nana is back—that’s
something to celebrate. If you keep dwelling on the past, it'll only make her feel worse.”
“Yes, you're right.” Old Mr. Quintin wiped away his tears and turned to Sylvia. “We have so much life ahead of us. Let's make up for
the twenty years we lost.”
Sylvia smiled softly and nodded. “Alright.”

After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room, chattingfortably. Old Mr. Jarvis turned to Estelle and said, “You and
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJonathan still have your honeymoon to take, don’t you? Now that Nana's back, there’s nothing holding you here. You should set out
tomorrow.”
Estelle, her features as delicate as a painting, smiled and said, “I'm so happy right now, | almost don’t want to go anywhere.”
Gabriel laughed. “Jonathan’s put all his work on hold to be with you and celebrate. Go enjoy yourselves—there will be plenty of
ttogether in the future. Don’t put off your honeymoon.”
Jonathan Lamont glanced at Estelle and nodded. “If anythinges up, just call us anytime.”
“Don’t worry.” Gabriel smiled reassuringly.
Old Mr. Quintin then said to Jason and Sophia Jones, “You two don’t have to stay here withall the time. If you have things to
take care of, go ahead. With Jarvis here, I've got someone to chat with.”
Jason replied, “In that case, Old Mr. Jarvis, you should stay a few more days in J City.”
Old Mr. Jarvis chuckled kindly, “I've still got sbusiness to finish here—can’t leave just yet.”
Gia offered, “If there's anything | can help with, Mr. Jarvis, just letknow.”
Old Mr. Jarvis laughed. “Better ask Old Mr. Quintin about that!”
Old Mr. Quintin’s eyes twinkled. “Don’t even think about it—I’'m not agreeing to anything! If you want to go home, just go.”
Gia asked, curious, “What's this all about?”
“Gabriel and Nana's engagement!” Old Mr. Jarvis said with a laugh. “Your father once said that when Nana chome, our families
would be joined by marriage, so we'd be even more closely connected. Now, he’s trying to back out of it!”
Everyone was momentarily surprised, then laughter broke out around the room.
