“Good, you're alone today,” Gabriel said coolly.
Sylvia was speechless.
Gabriel seemed to have no intention of making small talk, grabbing her wrist and leading her to the car.
Sylvia jogged to keep up. “Where are we going?”
Were they getting straight to business? Had she given him the wrong signal last time?

Gabriel, oblivious to her wild thoughts, opened the passenger door for her. “We're going to see Gia,” he said flatly.
All of Sylvia's theories cto a screeching halt. Her eyes widened slightly. “Gia... she’s back in J City?”
“Yes.” Gabriel didn't spare her another word and shut the car door.
Once they were both inside, Sylvia asked, “Where is Gia waiting for us? Why didn't she call ahead?”
Watching the traffic, Gabriel replied calmly, “You'll know when we get there.”
The sky had already darkened. In the twilight, the sharp angles of his profile gave off a cold, imposing air, making Sylvia wonder if
he was still angry.
Since he wouldn't say, Sylvia didn't ask again, turning her gaze to the brightly lit city outside.
The drive was silent. When they arrived outside the Quintin family estate, Gabriel unbuckled his seatbelt. “Get out.”
Sylvia looked utterly confused. “Where are we?”
“You'll know when you get out.”
