“Mr. Jarvis, it's been a long time.”

“Gabriel!”

Gabriel stood up. “When did you arrive?”

Grace smiled. “A little while ago.”

She then greeted the Lamonts and offered her congratulations.

Old Mr. Quintin, who was on the phone on another sofa, looked up sharply at the sound of her voice. The moment he saw Grace,

his hand trembled, and his phone nearly slipped from his grasp.

Evelyn was also stunned, whispering, “Is that my mother?”

Old Mr. Quintin hung up the phone, rose slowly, and said in a trembling voice, “Vivian!”

Grace followed the sound and saw Old Mr. Quintin. Her warm, smiling expression froze.

It had been so many years. Whenever she thought of her father, it was always the man from her memories: stubborn, arrogant,

and always so sure of himself.

But in what felt like the blink of an eye, he had grown so old.

His hair was streaked with white, his forehead creased with wrinkles. The proud arrogance he once wore had been smoothed away

by the years.

She walked over to him and said softly, “Father.”

Tears instantly streamed down Old Mr. Quintin’s face, an old man’s unrestrained grief.

Evelyn quickly handed him a tissue to wipe his tears.

The Lamonts had heard bits and pieces about the issues between the Quintin father and daughter. Geoffrey stood up and said,

“The ceremony is about to start. We'll go get ready. Old Mr. Quintin and Ms. Quintin, please take your time. We've reserved seats

for you in the VIP section.”

Grace smiled politely. “Thank you.”

Geoffrey led the Lamonts away, leaving the newly reunited father and daughter alone.

Old Mr. Quintin wiped his tears, looking visibly flustered and nervous. “I... | heard from Jarvis that you've been teaching children.

How is that going?”
