going to sue you!”
Arvin was terrified, his face pale as he defended himself. “Yvonne started it! Ask her yourself if you don’t believe me!”
“Impossible! Why would my Yvonne ever be interested in you?” Hannah's plan had not only failed but had also destroyed Yvonne's
reputation. Trembling with rage, she grabbed a nearby vase, ready to hurl it at Arvin.
Janice stepped in, grabbing Hannah's arm and taking the vase from her. “What's done is done. We should think about how to

Her words were like a splash of cold water, snapping Hannah back to her senses.
“I'll step out now. You should talk this over.”
Janice’s gaze swept over Yvonne, who was still in a daze, before she walked out and closed the door.
With only the three of them left, Hannah couldn't contain her anger. She pointed a finger at Arvin’s nose and snarled, “We're not
finished with you!”
Arvin sneered. “What are you going to do, Mrs. Hanson? Yvonne seduced me. If you dare make this public, | have nothing to fear.
But Yvonne is a different story. She'll be labeled a homewrecker, her reputation will be ruined, and it’s only a matter of tbefore
she’s blacklisted!”
Hannah was so furious she grabbed the nearest object and started hitting Arvin with it again.
“Enough!” Yvonne shrieked. Head down, she ground out through clenched teeth, “Get out, both of you! Just get out!”
Arvin, now fully dressed, glanced at Yvonne and scrambled out of the room.
He hugged the wall as he fled, terrified Hannah would attack him again.
The door slammed shut. Hannah collapsed onto the bed in frustration. “It’s over. It's all over!”
