Chapter 231
Chapter 231
Sylvia kicked the side of his waist. Feeling the blooming of a spasming pain, Eder was a little stunned.
He subconsciously rubbed the sore area. Yet before he could completely process what just happened, Sylvia had
already moved quickly and was able to grab the decorative vase on the bedside table, intending to smash it on
his head.
Eder merely covered his head and braced for impact.
He didn’t want to fight back. He didn’t dodge either. He simply let her do what she wanted.
The vase landed onto his back three times in a row.
Fortunately, because she was dizzy, she wasn’t quite in control of her own hands yet. The impact wasn’t
that strong.
It still hurt when it collided with his bones, however.
Eder felt like he was about get a trauma from this.
He thought morosely, ‘In the future, there should never be anything that can be used as a murder weapon on our
bedside table!”
After the few hits she managed to land with very little damage, Sylvia had enough and slammed the vase
against the corner of the table. It shattered. And then she pointed it at him again.
“Sylvia!”
Eder flinched. He was afraid that the sharp edges of the broken porcelain in her hand would actually
hurt him.
Because he hesitated, he wasn’t able to dodge in time. The chipped porcelain scratched his right collarbone. It
was a relatively shallow cut, but it was still enough to draw blood. The collar of his white shirt eventually got
stained with red.
For the second time, Sylvia intended to cut his neck, but if she cut wrongly, she could only scratch his
collarbone.
Taking advantage of her momentary pause, Eder quickly grabbed her wrist and threw off the porcelain
in her hand.
Sylvia glared angrily at his mask, “Eder! You're wearing this shit on purpose to scare me, aren't you?! Letsee
how ugly your face is under this mask!”

“No, L...”
He wasn’t given the chance to explain as Sylvia knocked their foreheads together.
When his grip loosened in surprise, Sylvia wriggled her wrists free and managed to knock his mask offf
Eder was stunned. He had never expected her to be this fierce when drunk!

Soon, he realized that the mask had fallen off, and he turned his back to her guiltily. He couldn't even will
himself to look back.
However,
He waited for a second, two seconds...
The woman behind him who had been shouting loudly suddenly stopped talking and the whole room was dead
silent once more.
He cautiously turned his head halfway and looked out of the corner of his eye.
As it turned out, Sylvia had already collapsed, unconscious on the bed and with a reddened forehead
He breathed a sigh of relief despite the lingering fears.
There was a stinging pain on his collarbone. He pressed it with his hand and touched something wet When he
checked his hand to see what it was, he found bright red blood staining his fingers.
Eder didn’t know how to properly react with what had just transpired. All he knew was that his body was in pain
and it wasn’t the tto be smiling.
It was so unfair!
He was trying to take care of her, yet even while drunk, she could still manage to break his heart.
First, she confessed liking someone else, and that someone else just happened to be Adrain. Next, she wanted to
fight him off and even seemed determined to murder him right then and there. These consecutive events
accumulated a lot of bad feelings that it all weighed down on Eder.
His nose began to feel sour, and his eyes felt hot. Eventually, even his eyelashes becdamp.
Meanwhile, as he was staring sullenly at the blood on his fingers, Sylvia, who was on the bed, stirred and opened
her eyes slightly. With squinted eyes, she watched the side of his face intently.
Eder could vaguely perceive her gaze.
He turned his head and paused.
Chapter 231
What kind of look was this?
Did she recognize him?
Eder swallowed nervously. He suddenly felt anxious as he quickly tried to think of excuses.
Before he could say anything, however, Sylvia sat up, leaned closer to him, and cupped his face with both hands.
She beamed.
“It's a dream again. As expected, | can only see you in my dreams. Your face seems to be a little different this
time, but you're still handsome. Hiccup...”
Without warning, she burped right on Eder’s face, and the strong aroma of wine hit his nose.
His busy mind went blank and he could only look at her dumbfoundedly.
“I don’t care. This is my dream, and | have the final say!”
She continued to move closer to him while smiling mischievously.
While he was still in a daze, he felt a pair of soft lips against his.
Eder’s black eyes grew. He waited but the soft feeling on his lips didn’t disappear. The realization hit him like a
lightning.
Did she just... kiss him?!
Sylvia pulled away with a satisfied smile, but the haziness in her eyes was an indication that she was still
drunk.
Eder was frozen in place.
He didn’t dare move. Who knew what she was going to do next after kissing him!
Slap him in the face? Kick him again?
Under his suspicious gaze, Sylvia's small hands gently wrapped around his waist. Her eyes scanned him from
head to toe and found the bloodstains on the collar of his shirt. She frowned.
“How could you be hurt in my dreams? Who did this? I'll kill them!”
Eder’s heart couldn’t help but soften at her distress.
Even if he realized that she might have mistook him for someone else, the way she was concerned for his well-
being made him feel warm.

He softly coaxed, “I'm fine. It doesn’t hurt.”
The corners of Sylvia’s mouth twitched unhappily.
“But I'm worried.”
With that, she leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on his wound.
She was like a kitten comforting an injured companion.
The contrast between the gentleness of the current moment versus the way she was so determined to beat him
earlier was surreal.
“Sylvia, you...”
Eder still couldn’t get over the shock
Her kiss on his collarbone was like a drip of honey. It sweetened his whole heart to the point of fullness.
He couldn't help it anymore. He wrapped his arms around her waist tightly, unwilling to let go.
All sorts of emotion mixed inside him. He was both touched and satisfied, but he was also afraid that this
moment would end so soon and he would lose her again.
He wished tcould stop for them.
And he also wished more selfishly that Sylvia's love would forever belong to him alone.
“Do you like it?”

Eder rubbed her head and smiled sincerely. “I liked it very much.”
Sylvia relaxed further into his arms. She pillowed her head on his uninjured collarbone and inhaled the familiar
scent he had always carried.
“From now on, make sure to visit my dreams every day. | want to hug you, kiss you, and sleep with you...
As she spoke, her voice gradually becsmaller.
Eder glanced down. It seemed like his kitten had fallen asleep again.
But this twas different. She slept very sweetly in his arms and never woke up again.
Eder simply held her in the sposition for hours. After a long time, his waist and neck started to hurt.
He wanted to lay her down properly, but even with the slightest movement, the person in his arms would

frown and protest silently,
No way.
Eder could only endure the pain. He managed to pull the quilt over them and settled down.
She slept through the night in his arms.
Six o'clock the next morning.
Eder gently leaned on the top of Sylvia's head. His eyes dropped down slowly, but just as he was about to fall
asleep, there was a soft call from outside the door.
Recognizing the voice to be Eric's, he instantly woke up.
He looked down at the person in his arms. She was still sleeping soundly. He carefully put her head on the pillow
and extracted himself from the bed.
Fortunately, Sylvia had already fallen deep into sleep so she wasn't alerted.
He slowly got up, put on his suit, and went out.
Eric was waiting outside the door. As soon as Eder cout, he noticed the blood on the collar of his shirt.
“Boss! Why are you injured? Did you two fight last night?”
There was no fight. It was him getting beaten.
But if Eric didn’t mention the wound, he would have forgotten about it.
It didn’t really hurt anymore, but he could still feel the ghost of Sylvia's lips on his skin.
His ears turned red. What happened last night turned out to be satisfying in the end.
‘Except, waist hurts..."
He rubbed his lower back and his stiff neck. He hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep last night, and now he could feel
the tiredness of his body.
“Let’s go. She should be awake later.”
Seeing how his boss was rubbing his waist, Eric had a flash of understanding. He was pleasantly surprised.
“Boss, you seem to be making a good progress! The honeymoon phase began before you could even get
married! Must have been a very lively night.”
