The hospital that Bryan and his friends were admitted to was a private hospital owned by Councilor Brown's family. It was said that this hospital was originally not theirs, but was obtained through some method legally. Now, it was run by Councilor Brown's family very well and has already marked itself as one of the best private hospitals in Fore City.
The hospital was not very big, although it was three stories tall. It was said that through his connections, Councilor Brown managed to invite some famous doctors to fill in some vacancies in the hospital. Hence, earning itself some reputation in the market.
The small bus arrived and parked at the hospital's parking lot.
In the same order, Roland and the others alighted the bus. With Teacher Theodore leading the way, they came in front of the hospital.
Roland looked up and saw a humongous sign at the entrance of the building that read, 'Brown Hospital'. There were some people that came in and out of the hospital. One look at them and anyone would be able to tell that they were people of status. Each of them wore luxurious clothes, while some were even escorted by a lot of bodyguards. bender
lightsnοvεl The visiting students who only wore some casual clothes became the focus of everyone's attention. Though, most of them came from some rich background so they weren't that bothered about the gazes of the people around them. Of this entire class, only Roland and Madison came from modest backgrounds and were only admitted to Fore City College due to their own means. Even Amy, who was working at the samgyupsal before, was only doing it for some extra cash.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFor Roland, he had already overcome his previous identity so the gazes of the 'rich' did not bother him as well. As for Madison, although she was a little uncomfortable, she was also used to this kind of stares.
On the other hand, even when wearing some casual teacher clothes and with his a little unkempt appearance, Teacher Theodore continued to lead the whole class forward, not minding the gazes of the rich around him at all.
A while later, Teacher Theodore finally stopped at a heavily guarded room on the third floor. The room was situated at the very center of the third floor. It was apparent that this room was very special, and that only a select few people could use such a room in this private hospital.
The moment they arrived, one of the men guarding the door immediately approached them.
"Stop! This is a private room, you are not allowed to proceed any further!" He said as he blocked Teacher Theodore's path with a straight face.
Teacher Theodore hurriedly explained the purpose of their visit.
The guard frowned and stared at Teacher Theodore seriously before he went back to report to one of the men stationed in front of the door.
After a while, the man finally walked towards Teacher Theodore and explained, "I apologize for the obstruction earlier, but please understand that we are only doing this for our young boss's safety. After all, the cultists have not been apprehended yet and we are worried that they might try something drastic to continue their ritual."
Teacher Theodore nodded his head in understanding, expressing that it was not a problem at all and that he understood that they were just doing their job.
On the other hand, Roland's mouth twitched upon hearing the guard's explanation. 'What ritual are you talking about? Besides, if we really wanted your young boss's dead, you would not have anyone to guard today at all.'
As Roland complained inwardly, Teacher Theodore finally smiled and asked the guard if they could now see his students.
The guard paused for a bit before saying, "About this, we still need to wait for the approval of Councilor Brown. Don't worry, one of my men has already informed him it shouldn't be long before he comes back with good news."
Indeed, after a while, one of the guards emerged from the door and whispered something to the guard in front of Teacher Theodore.
"Alright, Councilor Brown has learned of your intentions and is willing to let you see his son. However, as the space inside is not big and there are a lot of you, Councilor Brown stated that you can only come in with 5 people at a time."
"Alright, no problem for us." Teacher Theodore replied.
He then looked at Madison and said that they would go according to the sitting arrangement. The first five to go were Teacher Thedore, Roland, Madison, Victoria and then another girl called Katrina who was ranked fourth last semester.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAfter the order was determined, the guard leader finally led them inside the room.
Following behind Teacher Theodore, Roland curiously looked around and began to observe the interior of the room.
Contrary to what the guard said earlier about the room having a small space, the room was actually very big. Looking around, Roland estimated that it could even probably fit around five to six king-size beds. The room was well-lit and decorated lavishly as well, with medical apparatus situated at the side, ready for use anytime needed.
As he observed the room, Roland also caught sight of Bryan lying comfortably on the bed. Beside him was a man with a refined appearance. The man's posture was straight and was overflowing with confidence.
At one glance, even a middle-schooler would be able to tell that he was a man of status.
Roland did not have to think before he concluded that this man was probably Bryan's father, the first ranked councilor of Fore City, the owner of Brown Hospital, the face of Fore City's orphanage- Councilor Brown himself.
At the same time Roland was observing, Councilor Brown was also doing the same thing. Unlike Roland, his observation was not that blatant, yet he was able to perceive a lot of things.
As a politician who would often meet a lot of people, he had long developed the habit of observing people before interacting with them.
Just as Councilor Brown was observing Teacher Theodore and the students behind him, he suddenly heard Bryan spat some words towards the student behind Teacher Theodore.
"What are you looking at, country bumpkin? First time seeing this kind of room?"
