Chapter 6012: Ghost-eyed’s Beam

“Rumble!” Explosions caused the world to spin with the emergence of an unknown power.

Facing the unknown startled the top cultivators on the other side.

“Bam!” A black monster drilled out of the ground, having numerous tentacles with blue rings of light.

“Raa!” It growled menacingly, revealing rows upon rows of teeth. As they whirled around, they resembled countless gears capable of grinding anything to a pulp.

The tentacles launched an offense - smashing cultivators to pieces and coiling others, dragging them into its mouth.

“Ahh!” Thousands died in the blink of an eye, ground by its whirling teeth.

Amidst the darkness, a mountain cracked and a strange beast leaped out from the gap. It coiled together tightly and looked like a ball, leaving a trail in its path. Its speed was incredible, pulverizing cultivators in the blink of an eye. Those fast enough to dodge weren’t lucky either. It shot out thorns and turned them into sieves.

In another area, mist and fog emanated from the ground, culminating in a slender figure with thigh-long hair. It fluttered to the wind but instead of being a beauty, this was an unidentified monster.

It brimmed with strength; its muscles seemed as hard as rock. Its head was different as well, resembling a curved sliding door, hiding its true face. Its weapon of choice was a heavy saber looking to be encrusted in molten lava. The countless boiling nodules made it look alive.

Sizzles sounded wherever the creature swung its blade, slicing through the air and leaving behind a crimson trail.

Cultivators nearby roared and summoned treasures for defensive measures. Alas, the saber cut through their treasures, burning both metal and flesh into smoke.

“Rumble!” More monstrous abominations cfrom the ground and the mountains. Each murdered a hundred cultivators in the blink of an eye.

The survivors prepared for battle to no avail. Their pulsing weapons and treasures were as feeble as paper. Blood and body parts splattered everywhere.

“Run!” The survivors finally wised up and tried to escape.

Alas, although they flew for thousands of miles, they still couldn’t escape the darkness. Someone made it as far as a million miles and the monsters were still in pursuit.

“Go!” Ironthorn, Mountainbreak, Ghost-eyed, and the Ouyang Clan Master mustered all of their power to stop the unknown monsters.

“Clank!” Ironthorn’s blade unleashed its true limit, becoming as big as a mountain range and wielding the fire affinity.

It domineeringly cleaved everything along the way while burning them. He was confident at first before hitting the ball monster directly only to leave zero damage.

It rolled in his direction, forcing him to swing his blade repeatedly. He obliterated the area around them but every strike on the ball monster amounted to nothing outside of starting beautiful sparks. Eventually, Ironthorn could no longer keep up with the ramming.

“Heaven Slayer!” At the stime, Mountainbreak attempted to cut down a monster resembling a devil ape. He utilized everything he had, each strike could rend the region into two halves.

The ape-like creature’s weapon of choice was a study mountain range being swung like a staff. It was relentless and created a torrential storm from the flurry.

“Bam!” Mountainbreak’s golden saber was mighty and imbued with his power. Alas, the ape still shattered it along with his golden physique.

“Ahh!” He was reduced to bits in the next moment, being the first desolate god to fall.

In a different area, Ghost-eyed activated his third eye, melting everything in the path of its radiance.

He focused his gaze on the thin creature with long legs and hair. The latter was fast enough, teleporting from one place to another.

Once Ghost-eyed could catch it, it raised a sword to stop the beam of light.

“We have to fight!” Eventually, cultivators realized running was futile.

They fought fiercely but effort alone didn’t change the outcome. Ssurvivors realized something as their brethren fell one after another - Li Qiye’s group was not targeted by the monsters.
