Chapter 269 Hamilton was clearly thrown off by her fervor at first.
But in no time, he flipped the script, wrapping her in his arms in a bold countermove.
As their kiss ended, he scooped her up with one arm and headed straight for the bedroom.
"Hamilton! I've got work today!" Natalia struggled briefly to no avail.
Once inside the bedroom, Hamilton pinned her against the door.
Then, sliding his hand down, he teased her.
"Ms. Jenkins, you started this fire. It's only fair you help put it out." Natalia pulled her hand away, shooting him a glare.
"The NorthSuburb project is about to launch, I've got a handover to start on. Knock it off." But Hamilton wasn't about to let her off that easily. He leaned in, nibbling at her ear, "I'll be quick. Scarlett's out, isn't she?" Before Natalia could reply, she was silenced by his lips.
In moments, her nightgown was on the floor.
He didn't even lead her to the bed, instead, pressing her firmly against the door.
"Ms. Jenkins, wrap your legs around me." "Let's move to the bed." "Let's stay here first, Natalia. Holdtight." Their passionate encounter moved from the door to the bed.
After, Hamilton sat by the bed, gently massaging her waist.
"Move back in with me, okay?" Natalia looked at him, then after a moment asked, "Did you go back to the family house last night?" Hamilton paused, then after a brief silence, admitted, "Had sbusiness to take care of last night." "Delilah showed up again, didn't she?" Hamilton chuckled, "Ms. Jenkins, have you been keeping tabs on me?" Natalia just glanced at him, then got up without a word.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHamilton followed, quietly explaining, "The Powell family had sissues, I was just dealing with it." Natalia didn't respond.
Hamilton picked up her clothes, helping her dress.
"Ms. Jenkins, your man is still clean. Didn't I just prove it? I haven't wasted my energy on any other woman, I've saved it all for you." Natalia's cheeks heated at his words, and she kicked him lightly on the leg.
"Shut up, will you?" With that, she turned and went into the bathroom.
Once inside, she let out a sigh.
She wasn't really doubting Hamilton.
But seeing that photo, it was hard not to feel a twinge of jealousy.
Hamilton, surrounded by his family, looking so content - it made her envious.
She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the discomfort.
Outside, once Natalia had gone in, Hamilton's expression darkened.
Someone was clearly trying to stir trouble between them.
He pushed open the bathroom door and stepped inside.
Approaching her at the sink, he wrapped his arms around Natalia.
"Did someone call you, or say something to you?" After fiddling with her hair for a bit, Natalia spoke softly, "Someone senta photo. In it, Delilah was all over you." Hamilton's eyes narrowed slightly, but before he could respond, Natalia turned to him.
"Hamilton, keep your distance from Delilah from now on!" Caught off guard, Hamilton then smiled and hugged her tighter, "Whatever Ms. Jenkins commands, I'll make sure to follow." "Even without my orders, you should do it. You have a girlfriend now, you need to be mindful." Hamilton lifted her onto the sink.
"Fine, from now on, I'm exclusively Ms. Jenkins', okay?" Looking at him, Natalia finally felt a bit better.
Exiting the bathroom, Hamilton went to reheat the breakfast Natalia had prepared.
Just as they sat down, the door clicked open from the outside.
Scarlett entered, surprised to see them still at the breakfast table.
She had expected Natalia to have left for work by now.
She had even waited outside for a while before coming in, only to find them together like this.
Natalia, seeing Scarlett, was slightly taken aback, "Why are you back so early? Are you not feeling well? I thought you had a cold from your voice earlier." Natalia stopped mid-sentence, her gaze landing on the hickeys on Scarlett's neck.
For a moment, she was speechless.
"What...what happened? Scarlett, you..." Without a word, Scarlett glanced at Hamilton and then headed straight to her room.
Natalia felt a sinking feeling in her heart.
She pulled Hamilton up, "You should go." Hamilton wanted to say something but was promptly pushed out the door.
Watching the door close, his temples throbbed with frustration.
Kicked out just like that? After pushing Hamilton out, Natalia headed to Scarlett's room.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEntering, she found Scarlett had already changed.
"What happened? I thought you were on a night shift?" Natalia's concern was evident.
Scarlett's face flashed with discomfort.
"I got drunk last night. You know how I get after a glass of wine, practically out of it." "And then?" "Woke up like this today." Natalia checked her over, "Was it Emeric?" The mere mention of Emeric made Scarlett want to scream.
"Not Emeric. If it were Emeric, I'd be waking up smiling from my dreams!" Natalia paused, "Then who?" The nElliott was on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't bring herself to say it.
The thought of being with that maniac was humiliating! "Let's just say I was bitten by a dog!" Natalia saw her expression, "It wasn't Elliott, was it?" Scarlett remained silent.
"I had dinner with Emeric, and Elliott just had to tag along. And then he, he..." For the first time, Scarlett was at a loss for words.
Natalia led her to the bathroom, starting a bath, "Take a soak first." After saying that, she paused for a moment before asking, "Did you guys use protection? If not, I can run to the pharmacy for you."
Scarlett made a face. "I took care of it. I'm a doctor, remember? You don't have to worry. And besides I'm hot exactly the Virgin Mary. In this day and age, spending the night with someone isn't exactly headline news, but still..."
Tears welled up in Scarlett's eyes as her frustration boiled over. "It's just that... my very first time, which I've saved for nearly thirty years, was just gone, just like that. Is Elliott just that bad in bed? Because last night, far from feeling good, I didn't feel a thing! Natalia, my precious first time, and it was wasted!" Natalia looked at Scarlett, momentarily at a loss for words.
She hugged Scarlett, trying to offer scomfort.
"Honestly, besides the pain, there's not much else to the first time."
At least, that was her experience.
Hamilton had been utterly oblivious to her feelings then she had cried her eyes out, and the sheets were soaked through, yet he showed no tenderness at all. "That's because Hamilton is a jerk who doesn't know how to treat a lady. If it had been Emeric, it would have been different." Natalia struggled to find the right words to comfort her friend.
"So, what's next for you? What are you planning to do?" Scarlett shrugged off the disappointment. "I'm moving on. It was just a one-night stand, not a marriage contract."
