Chapter 244 Natalia gasped in surprise.
Hamilton leaned down and kissed her lips.
Caught off guard, Natalia didn't have the heart to push him away. Instead, she let him kiss her.
Seeing that she didn't push him away, Hamilton chuckled, "Worried about my wound?" Natalia pushed him away.
"You better get back to the hospital before Scarlett gets back." Hamilton kissed her again lightly on the lips.
"I'll just sit for a bit and then leave, okay? Natalia, I've missed your coffee. Brewa cup, will you?" Natalia glanced at him, "You better be here just for the coffee." She turned and went to the kitchen, grabbed a can of coffee beans, and started boiling water.
Hamilton walked around the room, "Which one's your room?" Natalia pointed, and Hamilton opened the door to peek inside before coming back and hugging her from behind.
"Move back to the apartment, will you? If you cback, I'll just stay in the guest room. This place really isn't up to snuff." Natalia didn't believe for a second that he would actually stay in the guest room if she moved back.
"This place is fine. I'm comfortable here." She pushed him away slightly, "Stop it, go sit down if you want your coffee." The water boiled, and Natalia brewed him a cup, placing it on the table.
Hamilton pulled her close, leaning over her.

Her face instantly heated up.
"Hamilton, you-" Before she could finish, Hamilton's lips were on hers again.
The door suddenly swung open.
Startled, Natalia pushed Hamilton away.
Scarlett walked in, finding Natalia red-faced on the couch, with Hamilton kneeling on the ground.
Her mind buzzed, "Holy smokes, are you proposing already? That was fast." Natalia's face was the picture of awkwardness as she glared at Hamilton.
"Did you hurt your wound?" Hamilton stood up, his gaze cooling as he looked at Scarlett.
"Dr. Scarlett, your timing is impeccable." Scarlett realized what she might have interrupted and her expression soured.
"This is my house, if I remember correctly!" Natalia pushed Hamilton towards the door.
""Better go now." With Scarlett back, Hamilton didn't linger.
At the door, he suddenly said, "Make sure Killian keeps an eye on you these days." Natalia paused, "What's going on?" "Orpheus is back." Natalia's grip tightened.
The memory of being kidnapped rushed back.
Hamilton saw her tense up.
He pulled her into a hug.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure you're protected this time." Natalia nodded lightly in his arms.
Back in his car, Hamilton made a call.
"Send a few more guys to watch over Natalia, but keep it discreet." After hanging up, he drove straight back to his apartment.
Only then did he notice a slew of missed calls from a Ylandia number on his phone.
Hamilton's expression darkened at the sight, but he answered when the number called again.
"Eveleen, if you need something, talk to Alden. He'll pass the message." This time, Eveleen didn't cry but laughed bitterly, "Hamilton, have you really cto not even want to take my calls?" Hamilton was impatient, "I've made myself clear." He hung up and blocked the number.
But moments later, he made another call, "Keep an eye on Lucinda. Don't let things get out of hand." Meanwhile, after seeing Hamilton off, Natalia turned to face Scarlett.

Guys like him don't value what they don't work for." Natalia smiled, "Got it. What's got you so fired up?" Scarlett was still angry, "That Elliott! What's his deal? A grown man booking appointments at the gynecologist and not just one, but a dozen! I was sick of seeing his face by the end of the day." Natalia remembered Elliott inquiring about Scarlett.
"What's the beef between you and Elliott?" Scarlett was still hot, "There was no beef before, but there sure is now!" Natalia cautioned, "Take it easy." She knew Elliott wasn't a bad person at heart, but even good people have their flaws, especially those who run in certain circles.
Scarlett took a sip of water, "Fine, as long as he stays out of my way, I couldn't care less about him." Natalia, still worried, retreated to her room and dialed Elliott.
Elliott, who'd just gotten hfrom a day at the hospital, answered m adjusting his shirt collar. He was inexplicably flushed and warm. "Natalia? What's up?" Natalia hesitated, "Elliott, could you please not hassle Scarlett?" Elliott paused, "What? Natalia, you've got it all wrong. With her temperament, do you really think I could hassle her?" Natalia paused, then pleaded, "Just don't. Consider it a favor to me."
Elliott, despite his conviction that he couldn't get one over on Scarlett, that crazy witch, found himself agreeing when Natalia's voice cthrough the phone. "Don't worry, Natalia, I won't mess with your friend," he assured her.
But after hanging up, Elliott felt increasingly agitated.
He suddenly remembered the drink Scarlett had given him before leaving work.
Could that woman have drugged him? He quickly called Baxter.
In no time, Baxter arrived with his kit.
After drawing blood, it didn't take long for him to glance at Elliott.
"Did you mix up skind of wild concoction? Having trouble in the love department lately?"
Baxter looked at him, a mix of bemusement and concern in his eyes, "Buddy, if you need something a little...
ittle extrata get your mojo back, just tell me. No need to go experimenting on your own." Elliott was mortified, "No, no, it's not what I took!" Baxter nodded, "Got it, no need to be shy. I'll whip up something for you tomorrow, guarantee it'll do the trick." Elliott was speechless.
Scarlett, this isn't over between us!
