Chapter 420
"So, do you need help?" Dominic asked again, using his gaze to seduce Vespera.
Vespera licked her lips as they felt dry and said, "I'll think about it."
She thought, "Stop temptingalready."
Vespera's lips shimmered faintly with moisture. It was just enough to make something inside Dominic snap.
Neither of them could say who moved first. Maybe he pushed the door open, and maybe she pulled, but the
narrow gap widened slowly until there was room for him to step inside.
With a bang, the door clicked shut behind them. In the next moment, Vespera's back hit the door. Dominic's body
pressed flush against hers, stealing all the space and air between them. His breath was hot against her neck as
he asked, "Have you made up your mind now?"
Vespera tried to hold on to reason, but her body betrayed her. All Dominic did was lean in, but she felt numb
from the inside out. Every breath he took stirred something in her, making her want more.

Putting everything aside, people should enjoy themselves while they could. Vespera whispered, "Lock the door."
The lock snapped into place with a click. A second later, their lips collided like they had been starving. It was wild
and messy. Vespera's instincts kicked in, and the urge to bite rose out of nowhere. She broke away just enough
to sink her teeth into the side of Dominic's neck.
"Vera, be gentle," mumbled Dominic. He was used to Vespera biting him. She only bit when she got really into it.
But Vespera didn't stop there. This time, she nipped at his chest through his shirt. She muttered, "I just want to
bite you."
Dominic's hands roamed across Vespera's back firmly. He hissed softly from the sting and said hoarsely, "If you
biteto death, who's going to keep you satisfied after?"
Vespera unbuttoned his shirt while meeting his gaze as she said, "You aren't human. You won't die."
Dominic paused, then gently cupped her chin and tilted her face toward his. He said, "Will you letstay by
your side forever then?"
There was something fragile in the question. A hope buried deep, flickering like the flof a candle that had
once gone out.
Vespera didn't answer. She just stood on tiptoe and kissed him again.
Dominic's breath shuddered out as he kissed her back, deeper this time. Her legs went weak, and she clung to
him. Without hesitation, he picked her up and carried her to the bathroom.
From the bathroom to the bed, they clung to each other like they couldn't get close enough.
By the tit was over, Vespera was completely spent, her mind drifting somewhere between pleasure and
sleep. Even then, she managed a groggy murmur, "Don't finish inside..."
Vespera hadn't planned for any of this tonight. She just wanted to mess with Dominic a little by teasing him and
pushing his buttons. She hadn't even thought about protection, and he obviously hadn't either.
To be fair, last night had been sudden too.
Dominic nuzzled her shoulder, brushing kisses along her skin. Then, he kissed her again, silencing her. That
night, he gave her no rest.
The next morning, when Dominic woke up, Vespera was still sleeping. After getting dressed, he returned to her
side. He leaned down and gently caressed her head. He whispered, "Vera, I'm heading to the networking event
now. Callafter you get on the plane."
Vespera hummed in response, half-asleep.
Dominic kissed her lips, cool and fresh from his morning routine, then turned and walked out. The door shut
behind him with a soft click, but it echoed in the quiet room like a sudden gust of cold air.
Ten minutes later, Vespera opened her eyes.
Dominic had left the villa at 8:00 am, driving off alone. An hour later, Vespera, Calvert, and Gerard left as well,
their luggage in tow, heading to the airport.
They boarded their scheduled flight, and just like Dominic had asked, Vespera gave him a call the moment they
settled into their seats.
But once the call ended, the plan changed. They notified the flight crew that they had a schedule change and
that they were flying the day after tomorrow.
Since Vespera and Gerard were the ones who usually handled all arrangements, the crew didn't question it. They
assumed there had been a last-minute schedule shit and canceled takeoff.
With the flight on hold, Vespera and the others exited the airport and headed straight to another location to
meet up with Evelyn.
