Connor's lips curled into a smirk. "Didn't you messagelast night, askingto 'take you flying’, and you
calledKash so easily?"
As soon as Isaac heard the mention of last night and the nKash, his face changed completely. His jaw
dropped, wide enough to fit an egg.
"Empires of Passion" was their company's hottest game, now a global sensation. Despite designing the game
and having it produced by their company, Isaac wasn't the top player. The number one spot in the global
rankings was held by a mysterious player known only as
J.
Isaac had always wanted to recruit him for his esports team, but J was an enigma and not a professional gamer.
Everyone in the gaming community called him JKash. Seeing him online last night was a rare opportunity. Isaac
eagerly reached out, showering him with praise. But JKash stayed cool, responding with just one or two words,
despite Isaac's half-hour of flattery, before logging off.
And now, his long-trival stood in front of him, claiming to be JKash! Isaac could hardly process it, his face
showing a mix of disbelief and embarrassed annoyance. "Connor, you're messing with me."
"Why would | do that? | even know your gamer tag is..."

Isaac quickly stepped forward, covering Connor's mouth. Though he was reluctant to admit it, Isaac knew Connor
had to be JKash. That aloof, self-assured demeanor was exactly like him in real life.
Connor, with his mouth covered, raised an eyebrow, signaling Isaac to let go. With everyone watching, Isaac
reluctantly complied.
Connor spoke, "Then callKash."
Isaac's face was beet red, but he stubbornly replied, "In your dreams!"
Connor didn't seem to mind, just gave a light chuckle.
Chloe, standing nearby, was baffled. How had Isaac, so confident a moment ago, ended up on the back foot with
just a few words? But she sensed there was more to the story. It seemed her big brother was touchy about his
gamer tag.
Yet, Chloe's curiosity got the better of her, and she leaned in, asking, "What's Isaac's gamer tag?"
Connor began, "Your Isaac is, uh..."
"Connor, don't you dare!"
"Let's have dinner..."
"Connor!"
Connor teased, speaking slowly like he was toying with a cat, "Go to bed..."
Before he could finish, Isaac finally blurted out, "Kash."
Isaac's face was so red it looked like it could bleed. But now, his expression towards Connor had completely
shifted. Though still a bit flustered, his eyes held a hint of a plea.
Chloe was impatient, "Dinner and bed, what about it?" She had a feeling there was something juicy behind those
words.
Connor just raised an eyebrow, "I suddenly can't remember."
Chloe realized Connor was sparing Isaac's dignity. It was frustrating to only catch half the gossip, but she could
always dig for more later.
Isaac finally let out a breath of relief.
He had planned to outshine Connor
tonight, but instead, he'd been caught off guard. Feeling
embarrassed, he quickly said, "I'm going to find ParkerWayne." Then he slipped out of the restaurant.
Chloe and Ruby chatted a bit longer, while the men retreated to the study. Ruby realized Chloe was the same
little girl who had helped her on the bus back then and marveled at how small the world was.
Chloe expressed regret, "I remember you gavea bunny hair clip, but | lost it and don't even know where."
Ruby took Chloe's hand, "It's okay, we're family now. Whatever you like, | can give you."
