As his family feasted on his flesh, he looked at the sapphire stone, admiring its beauty under the Blood moon.
The mixture of red and blue always makes a beautiful purple sight.
He was losing blood and flesh.
Truth be told, it was not even the pain in his physical body that hurt him the most.
No! It wasn't. After all, he had been a slave all his life and had gone through the worst torture imaginable.
At this point, physical pain was just another daily occurrence.
What really hurt him was the emotional torture.
It was like ten ropes had been tied around his heart and connected to horses, ordered to rip it to pieces as they ran in different directions to the ends of the earth.
Every bite of his flesh was an extra hole in his heart.
Such pain was as deep as the ocean but steady as a mountain.
It permeated his every being, running his veins cold like the tundra, and his soul lost all hope for this world.
All that was left was pure, unbridled hate and an unquenchable desire for bloody revenge.
To his family, yes.

Revenge on the demons that enslaved them, the devils that mocked them, and most of all, on humans for being such weak beings.
He wanted nothing more than to spread the wings of his malice and let it embrace the whole world, like the way the spread of the horizon reached the 'never-edges' of the earth.
His pain was as deep as it was primal; it filled his being, giving birth to disgust after disgust.
His thoughts showed a strong bitterness festering within him. The disappointment, betrayal, and heartache had slowly carved a chasm of hate within his heart, causing him to view the world through a lens of resentment.
Beauty in life?
No! There was no such thing. That was but a pipe dream, eaten only by those who had not seen its unfairness.
The only True justice was Death.
After all, only in death was there true equality, as it touched all life regardless of acclaimed power.
Death alone was the true embodiment of fairness.
In that case, was it not better for all life to cease its existence?
The image of this shattered world echoed like a million mingled voices in his mind.
Even those minute good memories in the vast expanse of terrible ones were suddenly swallowed up by the unfocused pain that swallowed his being.
Like a tiny boat against the rage of the mighty sea, they broke apart to join the bad memories.
As darkness began to envelop his consciousness, he realized that was the True escape, and he found peace in its embrace.
But if he were to be blessed with the opportunity to do more and to do better, he would spread this solace of peace in the unbecoming of life with the rest of the World.
"Stop! Stop!! You gluttons are just too hungry. You ate too much. I wanted him to suffer a bit more, but now he is dead." The Young demon brat laughed wildly.
He really enjoyed this fun game.
However, he was none the wiser that right here and right now, an event that would shock the world had been born.
He waved his hands at the slave. It was about time they got back to their journey.
He did not notice this human's blood, carrying a pure, well-carved chasm of hate and anger, had touched the Sapphire stone and, with the encouraging light of the blood moon, broken through its long slumber.
"Okay! Let's go!!" The Young demon brat instructed, and the demon guards hurried to pack up and leave.
It was at this point that something happened.
The dagger in the distance suddenly moved from where it was and sank into the chest of the bloodied, eaten man.
Like the slow rising of the sun, he stood to his feet.
As he did, one of the slaves saw this and looked on in surprise as he subconsciously pointed at an obvious dead man that should be empty of life but was now walking.
The Young Demon brat turned and saw this.
Whether it was his guards or the slaves, they were all filled with disbelief.
The person who had died only moments ago was now back to life.

The sapphire stone had turned purple, and it was dead in the center of his chest.
But that was not all.
The ground shook, and the most absurd thing happened.
Skeletons, in the armor of the old world, slowly rose from the ground as they broke apart the earth to once again roam the streets of the living.
Yes, the long dead were rising from the ground.
Some rose without a leg and some without arms, but somehow they slowly advanced forward nonetheless.
This was something none of them had ever seen.
And then it happened.
In the eye sockets of the dead that had risen from the ground, a low purple flame suddenly burned like the light of a candle.
Subconsciously, they looked around; it was the same thing for the multitude of the undead that had risen to life.
Just then, the source of it all also raised its head, and in his eyes glowed a blue flame that was the same shade of blue as the color the sapphire once had.
He lifted his head to them, "Let me show you true peace."
.....
Meanwhile, Lenny and his crew were facing their own problems.
The arrival of the merged giant that stood before them made them stop their advance, and some men had thought of deserting.
But Ella had been strict with discipline.
She gave death as the only option for escape...
