He had asked himself countless times in his mind why things had turned out this way. But as he sat on the couch with Athena
holding his hand, he thought maybe this wasn't so bad after all.
Athena's phone was with him, and it had several missed calls, all from Tyler.
He retrieved the phone and placed it in front of her. "You should let this person know that you'll be staying with the Keller family to
take care of Grandma Edith for the next month."

"He's your friend. He's been worried about you, calling several times. Just send him a quick message."
She nodded. "Alright then."
Quickly, she typed up a message and sent it. But Tyler didn't respond right away. After a few minutes, his reply cthrough: "I'm
worried about you."
Marlon took her phone again, tapped the screen a couple of times, and sent a reply back: "No need to worry."
When Tyler received this, he rubbed his temples in frustration. He was starting to suspect that Athena was doing something behind
his back.
The people he had sent to the coast couldn't be called back now. Tonight, Marlon would receive orders from there. Marlon's tracks
had been discovered, but the key witness was still missing. That person had narrowly escaped death after Marlon had left him to
die in a fire. No one knew where he was now, but finding him would mean trouble for Marlon.
However, it seemed Athena was making a move. She hadn't told Tyler about her plans, and it made him uneasy. He had a nagging
feeling that if he didn't intervene, Athena would head down a path of destruction.
Did she ever think about him, even for a second?
Though he hated to admit it, Tyler knew Athena didn't have feelings for him. Whatever kindness she showed him was only because
he treated her well.
