Rachel stood up and looked at him. “When did you bring her back?”
“Yesterday. I'd already been making arrangements earlier, but since it was such a long trip, | was worried the dog
might get stressed out. The distance is no joke. They did all sorts of tests over there first to make sure she could
handle a long-haul flight before | had her flown over.”
Rachel felt truly grateful.
“This dog and I have a special bond. Back when | was overseas, she even saved my life once. That's why |
decided to adopt her.”

Leaning against the doorframe, Tyler asked, “So you decided to bring Sunny back because of Ray?”
“Yeah. Honestly, | didn’t like dogs before. But Ray changed my mind. | realized dogs could be adorable.”
As she spoke, Rachel pulled Sunny into her arms again. Sunny’s fur brushed against her cheek and tickled her
skin.

coworker used to take her out for walks, and random male dogs would just run up to her out of nowhere. | had
such a hard tshooing them away on every occasion. | even thought about getting her spayed.”
“Then you can stop worrying. Ray’s a male dog. They're a perfect match. They'll be fine together. You don’t need
to stress about that at all.”
