No matter how I struggled, | couldn’t win and | knew it, | just couldn't outsmart ten of them. “Help!, somebody

| felt a hand around my mouth, muffling my screams. “You speak again, and | promise you that will be the last

dagger in his hands. | felt the panic rising. Could this be my end?
He slowly withdrew his hand from my mouth and took off his hood. I didn’t know many people here, but |
recognized him almost instantly. He was one of the men Beatrix had fought on the training grounds.
“She’s supposed to be an omega,” the man said to the other cloaked figure standing to the side, the only one
who hadn't bothered holdingdown or participating in this.
“She had been marked by him; that should be the reason,” he says, and | did not understand a single word of
what they were saying. All | could think about was how to get out of this room and escape these bloodthirsty
people.

“This would be very fun,” the man with the dagger says, his eyes trailing down my body and a very hungry look
in his eyes. He reached for my clothes, and | shoved him away.
“Stay away from me.” | growled at him, trying to be brave, but inside | felt the exact opposite.

otherwise, you will suffer the consequences; this is my promise to you.” | threatened, and for a moment they
were all silent.
The dagger guy laughed out, and three others joined him, but the rest seemed unsure or maybe they simply
didn’t find my statement funny.
