“Inform them that I will be attending the meeting on time.
Sthings need to be settled.” Victor struggled to sit up and looked at
Ivan through eyes as cold as ice.
“Yes, Mr.
Sullivan!” Ivan’s eye lit up, seeing that his boss had woken up.
“I’LL go right away!”
“Mr.
Sullivan, you.” Seeing Victor’s pale face, Lukas felt sorry for him.

I’m fine.” Victor stopped Lukas, who was walking towards the door.
His eyes darkened, and he asked, “Lukas, how long have I been in a coma?”
Lukas was quiet for a while.
“Three days.
The helicopter cas soon as you were unconscious.
Mr.
Scott accompanied you.”
‘Three days..
I was in a coma for three days?’
Victor seemed to have had a long dream-from the day he stood outside the operating room listening to the doctor declaring his mother’s death till the the looked at Rachel on the stretcher lifeless.
It kept going in a loop, making him desperate again and again.
It had been so real that he couldn’t tell the difference.
He had not wanted to wake up.
A few seconds ago, Victor was still in his mother’s warm embrace, and then the next second, he was in an empty house.
One second he was kissing Rachel, then the next second, she was in his arms covered in blood.
But in the end, he still woke up.
When he woke up, he felt a void in his chest where his heart was, as if someone had gouged it out.
“Mr.
Sullivan, I’ll call the doctor to cand give you a check-up.”

“Lukas..” Once again, he raised his head and asked in a hoarse voice,
“Where is she?”
Lukas was taken aback.
‘She? Of course, he is asking about Rachel.
But, Rachel is dead.’
He looked into Victor’s eyes, but he couldn’t say anything.
The words were stuck in his throat, and he couldn’t bear to say them out loud.
“Mr.
Sullivan, you’ve been in a coma for three days, and you haven’t eaten anything.
I’ll ask the cook to prepare slight food.”
