Alyssa ate a little too much at night and was vomiting badly now, so it didn’t smell good inside the car.

She could not smell it herself, but Emmett felt it was very obvious.

He only frowned slightly. When she finished vomiting, he took a tissue and wiped her. Then he took out

a bottle of water from the car and handed it to her.

“Let’s get out of the car.” Emmett’s voice had calmed down.

He opened the car door and got out. He took off his coat and sweater, which were stained with Alyssa’s

vomit. All that was left was a thin shirt.

Alyssa, on the other hand, did not have anything on her body.

When she got out of the car, the cold wind blew over and she felt much more refreshed.

She turned her head and looked at Emmett, who was only wearing a thin shirt. She could not help but

ask, “Is it cold?”

When she looked at Emmett, Emmett also turned to look at her.

She had just vomited once, and her eyes were wet. Her eyes were slightly red, and her face was pale.

The way she pursed her lips and looked at him touched Emmett’s heart.

He was about to say “What do you think” but looking at her like this, he changed his words to, “I’m not

cold.”

Alyssa was ready to accept Emmett’s venomous tongue and then she was about to say, “Serves you

right.” In the end, he said that he was not cold.

Young Master Lawrence was indeed not an ordinary person. The temperature was almost zero and he

was actually not cold in his thin shirt.

Emmett’s “not cold” was not just to say it. Alyssa was shivering in the cold wind while Emmett did not

react at all.

The car was dirty, so Alyssa and Emmett took a taxi back together.

As for Emmett’s car, let the bodyguards drive it back.

When they got home, Emmett went to the study to take a bath. Alyssa went back to the bedroom to

take a bath.

When Alyssa came out of the bathroom, she found Emmett already wearing a robe and sitting on the

sofa by the window.

The big lamp in the room was not turned on. There was a dim yellow floor lamp beside him. The halo

enveloped his body, making him look a little more gentle.

But no one knew better than Alyssa.

In Emmett’s body, all gentleness was an illusion.

Alyssa walked towards him and prepared to sit beside him.

Unexpectedly, just as she walked over, Emmett wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into

his arms.

He passed the red wine in his hand to Alyssa’s lips. “Take a sip.”

Alyssa frowned and pushed it away, “I don’t want to drink.” After washing up, she did not want to eat

anything or drink anything.

Emmett did not force her. He took a sip and pressed his lips against hers.

His tongue opened her lips and poured the red wine into her mouth.

Alyssa was caught off guard and almost choked on the wine.

Emmett reached out and stroked her hair. His actions were gentle and comforting.

After Alyssa recovered, she gave Emmett a heavy hammer on his chest.

Emmett wrapped his hand around her small fist and slightly lowered his eyelids to cover his emotions.

His voice was indifferent. “Is he the reason why you get rid of the bodyguards?”

His incoherent words made Alyssa puzzled for a moment before she realized what he was talking

about.

“What do you mean?” Did he mean that she had thrown off her bodyguard just to meet Henry?

Emmett looked up at her. “You want to leave me?”

“What did you say?” Alyssa’s heart skipped a beat and she frowned. “I don’t understand what you are

talking about.”

“You don’t want to take wedding photos. You don’t want marry me.” Emmett’s expression did not

change much when he spoke, but Alyssa could hear a trace of tension in his voice.

“I explained it to you before.”

Emmett did not want to hear her explanation at all. He knew what Alyssa was thinking in her heart.

He hooked one hand around her waist and the wine glass in his other hand fell to the ground. The floor

was covered with a blanket. The wine glass did not break. The unfinished wine was soaked into the

carpet.

Alyssa was sitting on him. Emmett wrapped her waist and legs around his body. He stood up and

carried her to the bed. The two rolled onto the bed together.

Alyssa was a little out of herself and panted as she asked, “You and Skylar are divorced?”

“Yes.” Emmett’s forehead was covered in sweat. He replied with heavy breathing.

They were not suitable to have children now.

She thought about this in a daze and finally fell asleep.

Emmett got off the bed and took a warm wet towel to wipe Alyssa’s body.

His eyes were lowered and his movements were gentle and slow. He was focused as if he was an artist

treating a precious and rare piece of art.

After wiping Alyssa’s body, he pushed away the wet bangs on her forehead and gently kissed her

forehead. His voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible. “I only have you.”

Alyssa seemed to have heard someone talking by her ear. She lifted her heavy eyelids. The outline of

the person in front of her was blurry, but she also knew that it was Emmett

She was too tired. She struggled to raise her hand. The next moment, she felt her hand being held by

an even wider and warmer hand. She felt at ease and closed her eyes to sleep again.

Emmett sat by the bed and stared at her for a long time. He put her hand back under the blanket.

The next day.

When Alyssa woke up, the seat beside her was already empty.

She stretched out her hand to check. There was no temperature, which proved that Emmett had been

up for a long time.

She propped herself up and leaned against the bed with her eyes closed to calculate her safety period.

It did not seem to be accurate. Then she could only take her medicine.

She hadn’t thought about the child yet.

Apart from her current unstable relationship with Emmett, she still had a lot of things to do.

She was only twenty-two years old. Her life had just begun, and she didn’t have a good mother. She

was probably an unqualified daughter herself.

Even if she had a child now, she didn’t know how to take care of him.
