Chapter 1334
Nash circled the area, calling Nina repeatedly and even asking passersby if they had seen her, but he kept
coming up empty-handed. Just as he was on the verge of despair, a familiar voice called out from behind him.
"Nash."
It was Nina!
He quickly turned around and ran to her, pulling her into a tight embrace. "You scaredto death. | couldn't
find you, and you weren't answering your phone. | was terrified something had happened to you."
The thought of losing her was unbearable. He knew he couldn't go on without her, not with Orion and Gemma
needing both their parents. They were so young and needed the love and security of a complete family. "I'm so
sorry," Nina murmured, rubbing his back gently. "I was giving my statement to the police, so | put my phone on

from them."
He finally relaxed a bit, though his concern lingered as he looked her over. "But still... there's blood on you. Are
you sure you're okay? Maybe we should go to the hospital."
She gave him a small smile and shook her head. "It's their blood, not mine. If you don't believe me, see for
yourself. Look, I'm fine. Just a few bruises." She showed him her arm, which had only a faint bruise.
Still, Nash's worry didn't fully ease. "They're not going to give up. They'll be back."
Nina's gaze was steady, her voice firm and comforting. "Let them try. We'll deal with whatever comes our way
together, Nash. | know you'll protect us."
No matter what this organization was, she and Nash could handle it just like she had taken care of that group
today.
"I've already handed them over to
the police, but they weren't talking. | did manage to get this from them." Nina opened her bag, carefully pulling
out the wrapped syringe and handing it to Nash.
"They tried to inject this into me, but | managed to turn it around on them. There's still sof the substance
left inside-can you check what it is?" "Of course." Nash tucked the syringe safely away.
Nina hadn't shared all the details of the encounter, but just imagining what could have happened if they had
injected her with whatever was in that syringe made his stomach tura.

He couldn't let anything like that happen to her ever again. "Con, let's get you home. The kids are waiting
for us."

and I'm sure the last batch is cold by Nina recalled her promise, and Nash nodded with a smile.
On the drive home, they chatted about various things, and eventually, the conversation drifted to Lydia.
"I wonder how she and Quincy have been doing lately. They're probably busy with work," Nina remarked casually.
"We should invite them out sometsoon."
