Nina's eyes tear off Ace and turn to Aiden. "Third brother, what do you mean?" She looked afraid of his words.

"He has been doing it since he was 5." Aiden knew Ace's history because David dug out every detail of Ace Welsh, so there was no hidden secret that they didn't know about him, David knew something even Damian Welsh wasn't aware of because he might go through Ace Welsh's nerves, but he never could pass through Ace Welsh's brain, but David did; David left it in the dark because he wanted to keep it hidden for Noah.

For Noah, David even helped Ace Welsh to hide it deeper.

Nina's mind went blank for a second; she never thought this man, who looked cold and cruel from the outside, had such a painful life; death would be better than this pain; she could imagine how painful it was for this man.

"Why? Does anyone else in his family have this disease?" Nina had no idea about Ace's past.

"Yeah, his mother and his father made him the antidote for his mother since he was five, and now Noah also needs his blood to survive," Aiden added.

Nina didn't know why she felt pain for this man, so he was just medicine for everyone; she couldn't bring herself to hate this man; the pain was replaced with sympathy just a few hours after she met him.

Adam looked at Aiden with a shocked expression; wait, weren't they supposed to hide everything from Nina? Why did he expose every secret about Ace Welsh to Nina? What the hell is this man thinking? Aiden felt Adam's scorching hot stare at him, but he just smiled because he knew Adam was still far away from reality. He was tempered, protected by Richard's family, then by David; others might not know, but Aiden knew Adam yet to face the truth.

Because of David's endless protection, the guy has yet to face the world, but he understands David, the man treated Adam the best more than his little brother because he never wants to put Adam through what they went through; not all man needs to go through hell like them.

Nina's eyes glued on Ace until the process ended, the moment it needed. Theo didn't take a second to pull the middle out of his chest, and Ace leaned back on the couch; he looked pale, as if there wasn't even a drop of blood left on his face.

Before he could say anything, a glass of water was held. Ace raised his eyes and met Nina's, his gaze stacked on her face; he could see her red eyes and the sympathy in her eyes for him.

There was no hate for him in her eyes, nor did she have fear in them; she used to look down whenever he looked at her, but this time, she was looking at him while evading her eyes from him; he didn't find any trace of fear in her.

He gave a nod and took the water glass; he took a sip, and her behaviour changed, surprising everyone in the room.

But it was any human reaction; everyone felt his pain, so obviously, Nina would feel it, too. It was no surprise, but it was a surprise for them because Nina hated Ace Welsh until now, so this sudden change in her was surprising.

Nina didn't notice the changing eyes around her; she just felt this man was pitiful; if Noah had to donate his heart blood to someone else this painfully, she would've died from pain.

Theo smiled wickedly. He could use another method since there was another way he discovered since he found another way; even Damian Welsh was not allowed to take blood in this way, but for Noah, Ace didn’t want to risk, but he had no other intention.

But Theo used this method because he wanted to show everyone Ace's life was never entirely of fairy tales since David Xiver's side hates Ace Welsh to their guts; he lived with a monster, especially Nina Xiver; this girl's hate was visible in her eyes.

He wanted to remove this hate from this girl's heart, and he had already guessed Nina's fear about Ace.

So this was the best way.

Adam carried Noah away and took him to the room; Aiden followed since the boy was in a deep sleep; he didn't feel anything other than the spot where he received the antidote. He would be in pain when he woke up, but it wouldn't hurt much.

Nina looked at Ace, who was struggling to put his shirt on; she stood there without moving. Theo looked at the duo; one tried to ignore her presence, and the other looked at him without noticing anything.

Their awkwardness was something Theo found funny.

Ace was trying hard to put on the shirt; he looked at Theo. Usually, Theo would help him, but suddenly, Theo wasn't interested and shouted, "I'l go check on Noah." He left without hesitation; Ace was speechless; damn him.

Nina looked at Ace, whose face was covered in pain. She walked to Ace. "If you don't mind, | can help you." This was the first word Nina said to Ace since she came here.

She didn't even look at him straight, yet she stood so close to him and willing to help him, which was something Ace had never expected.

Ace didn't say anything and stared at her intensely; Nina felt his deep stare on her; she felt embarrassed, she felt she was out of her mind, how dare of her to think she could help him, she blushed from embarrassment, when she thought the man would reject her, she heard his unexpected answer "sure." Nina looked at him in shock; her small face turned red, giving Ace Welsh a different excitement, but he didn't show it on his face; he raised his hands.

Nina hesitated. She regretted her action the very moment, but what could she do? She had already thrown herself into this embarrassing situation, and now, no one was there to push all the responsibility onto someone else.

She braced herself, held the shirt sleeves, and put on one hand; she did her best not to touch him; this might be the most challenging situation she ever felt in her life she ever faced.

Ace didn't show much on his face, but something in him moved by her action; he noticed the pain in her eyes earlier; she felt his pain, and that was what warmed his heart; no one looked at him like the way she looked at him when he was in pain, suddenly he didn't felt the pain anymore.
