Chapter 0722
"You're wrong," Diana said with a playful pout, leaning into Suzy's arms.
"I'm not as kind-hearted as you think. Besides, I'm only kind to you. In this world, you're the only one who
deserves it."
Suzy sighed deeply.
"Honestly, I'm the least deserving. Look at what your life has becbecause of me. If it weren't for me, you
wouldn't have to endure any of this pain.
"But now, because of my presence in your life, you've suffered so much that you never should have had to bear."
Suzy genuinely believed that everything Diana had gone through was her fault.
Before she appeared in Diana's life, Diana had been the beloved daughter of a billionaire family, living like a
carefree princess without a worry in the world.
But from the moment Suzy entered her life, everything had turned upside down. It was all because of her.
If Diana hated her, it would have been easier for Suzy to bear.
But from the beginning, Diana hadn't harbored a shred of resentment. She hadn't even complained, which only

Diana seemed to sense Suzy's turmoil.
"Sis, | know what you're thinking. You believe that everything I've gone through is because of you, and if it
weren't for you, none of this would have happened. But, Sis..."
Diana took Suzy's hand in hers. "Life in a wealthy family is never peaceful. Even without these events,
something else would have calong.
"Our family's success has made us a target for years. There's always been someone waiting for a chance to bring
us down.
"You probably don't know this, but when | was six or seven, | was kidnapped right outside my school. My brother
was the one who rescued me."
Diana smiled gently. "So, you see, Sis, even without you, my life was never going to be free of danger. You can't
keep blaming yourself for everything."
Looking at Diana's kind and understanding expression, Suzy felt a pang in her heart.
She reached out to gently ruffle Diana's hair.
"It's getting late. You should rest. I'll head out now."
Suzy couldn't stay any longer-her emotions were on the verge of breaking.
She couldn't cry in front of Diana; it would only make her feel worse.
After leaving Diana's room, Suzy didn't immediately leave the Wright estate. Instead, she went to find Dylan.
It was as if Dylan had anticipated her arrival. He was already waiting for her. "If you're here to tell me, again, to
leave you, don't

I'm
not going to listen to you
Suzy frowned. "Even if it means your family could get hurt because of it?"
"They won't anymore," Dylan said firmly, his gaze unwavering as it locked on hers.
"I'll protect Grandma and Diana. | won't let anything happen to them again. "And for the record, the danger
they've faced wasn't because of you, it was because of me. | failed to protect them."
There was nothing Suzy could say to that. His words left her momentarily speechless.
Finally, she said, "Send Grandma and
Diana away for now. Somewhere safe, where no one can find them.

Hearing her suggestion, Dylan's expression shifted, and a flicker of hope sparked
in his eyes. "Are you saying... you've changed your mind?"
Suzy met his gaze directly, her eyes steady and resolute.
For the first tin what felt like forever, she gave him a straightforward answer. "If we catch the person behind
all this, and if we
both make it out alive, I'll remarry yout."
