Chapter 0625
Chapter 0625
"George is dead."
When Allen uttered the words, Suzy's expression froze. "How did he die?"
"Suicide," Allen replied, his tone laced with confusion. "The strange thing is, in his mind, he already believed he
was dead. Why would he suddenly decide to take his own life again?"
Suzy frowned deeply. "Let's go and see for ourselves."
They rushed to the holding cell where George's body lay sprawled on the floor. A deep gash was visible on his
neck, and the ground was stained with a pool of blood.
Suzy turned to the guard, her voice sharp. "What were you doing when he killed himself?"
The man shifted nervously, visibly shaken. "I-l was... well..."
Allen's eyes narrowed. "Tell the truth!"
The guard immediately dropped to his knees. "I didn't think anything would happen! It had been days, and
nothing unusual occurred. He thought he was already dead-why would anything go wrong? So, the last two
nights, I...”

"I-1 went to sleep!" the man stammered, his voice trembling.
The moment the words left his mouth, Allen lashed out, kicking the man's leg. "You dare to sleep? For two nights
in a row?"
"I'm sorry! | know | was wrong! Please, have mercy!" the guard pleaded.
"Enough!" Suzy took a deep breath, trying to steady her anger. "Check if it was truly a suicide."
Allen crouched down, carefully examining the body and the scene. "The depth and angle of the wound suggest
he used a piece of broken glass to cut his own throat. There's no sign of anyone else entering or tampering with
the scene. It looks like suicide."
Suzy's gaze darkened as she studied George's lifeless form. Finally, she turned back to the guard kneeling on the
floor. "Did you notice anything unusual about him over the past two days?"
Chapter 0625
"No, nothing at all! That's why I let my guard down. He seemed completely normal!"
Suzy's expression grew colder as she processed his words, the situation leaving more questions than answers.
Suzy furrowed her brows. "Everything seemed normal, yet he still chose to end his life..."
As Suzy trailed off, Allen picked up where she left off. "Exactly. If nothing was out of the ordinary, why would he
suddenly kill himself?"
It was clear something wasn't right—they just hadn't uncovered what it was yet.
"Could it be that he couldn't handle the thought of his next eighteen lifetimes as an animal?" Allen speculated.
"But even that doesn't make sense. In his mind, he already believed he was dead and had to accept that
outcome.
"Besides, if he was going to kill himself, he would've done it sooner. Why wait all these days?"
Suzy said nothing further. After a final glance at George's lifeless body, she turned and left the room.
Deep down, a theory was already forming in her mind: George had likely been hypnotized. A form of remote
hypnosis.
If that were true, it confirmed two things-first, there was someone else pulling strings from the shadows; and
second, her father hadn't hidden himself but had been taken by this unknown party.
The road ahead of her would be long.
Since George was now "dead," there was no reason to keep his body. Suzy instructed her team to notify Wendy
so she could collect the body and take him home.
Wendy was understandably grief-stricken when she learned of his death. No matter what he had done, he was
still her son-and her last remaining family in the world.

though she had expected it all along.
Taking advantage of a quiet moment, Suzy discreetly pulled Allen aside. "Have someone keep a close watch on
George's mother."
Allen frowned. "Why? Do you think she had something to do with his death?" Chapter 0625
Suzy's gaze darkened. "I don't know yet. But something about her reaction feels off. | want to be sure."
