Chapter 133 Amelia shook with rage. "What right do you have to pity me? Didn't you get to where you are by relying on men? First, Simon, and now, Edward!" Janice let out a soft chuckle and stepped closer, her gaze sweeping over Amelia, who stood without even a coat. "Simon threw you out, didn't he?" Amelia's lashes fluttered, but she remained silent.
"He found out about your HIV and exploded, didn't he? I bet he called you disgusting and demanded you pay him back." Every word from Janice was a blade, cutting straight into Amelia's heart.
Furious, Adam lunged at Janice and raised a hand to shove her. "Stay out of this!" But before he could even reach her, a man appeared out of nowhere, seizing his arm with a firm grip. It was the bodyguard Edward had appointed for Janice. He was always lurking nearby in a car, keeping a watchful eye on her safety.
He had been waiting outside the hospital, but he hadn't been expecting this kind of confrontation.

"Ouch! Let go!" Adam yelped in pain.
Since it wasn't an outright brawl, the hospital security merely watched from a distance, unsure whether to step in.
Janice stood calmly with her hands tucked into her pockets, a faint smirk playing on her lips.
"You stole my wedding and ruined the crochet dress my mother left me. This is just karma coming back around." "It was you, wasn't it? You told Simon about my diagnosis!" Amelia's voice shook with rage.
"We were together for years, so I figured I owed him the truth. Besides, he still owesmoney. I can't have him dying on me. That'd be a complete loss." Janice's eyes gleamed with amusement as if she were watching an entertaining unfold.
"You really are an idiot, aren't you?" "You-" "He had no problem throwingout, so what made you think you'd be any different?" Burning with fury, Amelia snapped, "Janice, shut the-" "Oh, that reminds me," Janice cut her off. "Now that I have time, I'll be suing you for damages over the crochet dress my mother left me. You might want to start figuring out where to get the money." "S-Suing me?" Amelia stammered, completely blindsided.
That incident had happened years ago, so why was Janice bringing it up now? As she descended the steps, her voice drifted back. "Did you really think I'd just let it go?" Amelia could only watch as Janice stepped into the Cullinan and the car drove off under countless envious gazes. Overcwith rage, she let out a piercing scream right where she stood.
The security guard snapped, "Keep it down! This is a hospital! If you're losing it, go check yourself into the psych ward!" "Who the hell do you think you are? You're just a lowly security guard, and you dare yell at us?" Adam fired back. The guard didn't even spare him a glance. Turning away, he muttered, "You can't even afford your medication, yet you're still putting on a show." Inside the Cullinan, Janice wasted no tdialing her lawyer.
The wedding videographers had captured every detail of that disastrous event. When Amelia ruined the crochet dress, the entrance cameras had recorded it all.

Out of nowhere, Janice's phone rang-it was Edward.
"Hello?"
Hearing the warmth in her voice, Edward immediately knew she wasn't upset. "Did you run into Amelia?" "Yeah." Since the bodyguard worked for Edward, it was no surprise that he already knew.
Edward paused for a moment before speaking. "I won't interfere in your personal matters, but don't let anyone walk all over you. If people see that, they'll think I can't protect yout."
Janice brushed her fingers against her cheek. "I'm with you now, M Moore. Who would dare bully me?" Edward let out a soft chuckle. "Chearly." "Alright."
As New Year's drew closer, both Janice and Edward found themselves swamped With work.
