Chapter 707
"If we can actually find something off, then | can go by the book and get a warrant to bring her in. So, until then,
you've got to keep your cool, okay?" Abbey had already stretched as far as she could, and Marguerite couldn't
possibly ask for
more.
"Please, Ms. Abbey."
"Of course. We haven't closed Penelope's case yet; her phone's call recordings are still being retrieved. We're not
wrapping things up anytsoon." Abbey paused, a look of concern washing over her as she glanced at
Marguerite, then she added, "But Marguerite, if, and | mean if, it turns out Yuna is behind this, yes, she'll face
consequences, but maybe not as severe as you'd think."
Marguerite was utterly baffled!
What did that mean?
If Yuna was the culprit, why shouldn't she face the fullest extent of the law?

"Why not?"
"You mentioned she's been seeing things. If she can provide a report proving she's got mental health issues, the
law might go easier on her."
Marguerite was so enraged she could have screamed!
"What kind of nonsense is that? An eye for an eye, it's only fair! What does it matter if she's sane or not?"
Abbey flinched at Marguerite's words, hastily covering her mouth and whispering urgently, "Marguerite, we're at
the station, keep it down!" But Marguerite's gaze suddenly fixed on something.
Mental illness?
Stella had run sneurological tests on Yuna that morning, hadn't she?
She'd know for sure if Yuna was ill!
Shrugging off Abbey's hand, Marguerite stood up. "Ms. Abbey, | think | know what to do next."
Without Stella's number, she remembered where the clinic was. So, as soon as Marguerite left the station, she
hailed a cab straight to Stella.
Having visited just the day before, the receptionist assumed Marguerite had an appointment with Stella and let
her through. Stella was lounging at her desk, relishing a burger when Marguerite appeared.
"Big sis?" Stella blurted out in surprise.
Marguerite was taken aback.
That was a quick shift in address, leaving Marguerite momentarily disoriented.
"I'm not your big sister."
Hopping off her desk with the burger in hand, Stella chuckled, "What's the difference? Sooner or later, you will
be." Taking another bite, she asked, "What brings you here, big sis?"
"Did you run a neural test on Yuna today?"
Stella laughed, almost unable to keep still, "That silly girl? Yep, | did! After hearing from Freddie and Violet about
her symptoms, | thought it more likely she might be mentally disturbed. So, | went ahead with the tests, and boy,
did she nearly catwhen she found out. Good thing I'm quick on my feet!"

"So, does she have an illness?"
"What illness could she possibly have? She's as clear-headed as they come, sharp as a tack when she's hurling
insults! Does that sound like someone who's mentally ill to you?"
"Then why is she having hallucinations?"
"Who knows! Maybe she's faking it, or maybe she really did see something spooky. Either way, my equipment
showed everything's normal."
Now that was odd.
Yuna was perfectly normal, yet kept having these hallucinations again and again.
She didn't seem to be faking it. Could she actually have encountered something supernatural?
Who cares!
As long as she could prove Yuna wasn't mentally ill, everything else was none of her business!
"There should be a report from her test, right? | need a copy."
