After hanging up the phone, Brenda looked at the photo in front of her. In the photo, there was a little

girl with a bright smile. She was about five years old and had a small red mouth. She looked carefree.

It was Kelly as a child.

Although she did not have her father by her side, her mother doted on her very much and wished she

could bring the best in the world to her..

If not for the fact that her mother was seriously ill and did not have long to live, Kelly might have lived a

Walter left just like that? He promised…”

“Brenda!” Dylan frowned and interrupted Brenda coldly. “What are you talking about? How can you

speculate about Mr. Walter like this? He’s a figure at the top of the world. Any unwanted thing from him

would be even worth our entire family. How can he go back on his word?

“Mr. Walter has already handed over the Resort Hotel project in the suburbs.”

“Grandpa. Brenda’s tone turned cold and impolite. “You gave the management rights of the hotel to

someone else, huh? Didn’t you agree to give it to me?”

“Alas…” Dylan sighed. “Brenda, you’ve already controlled most of the Collins family’s hotel business.

Don’t interfere with the Resort Hotel project. It’s not that I don’t want to give it to you, but your health

isn’t good. I feel sorry for you and am afraid that you’ll be exhausted.”

Brenda pursed her lips and didn’t say anything, but her eyes were filled with anger.

Dylan’s words sounded like he thought highly of her, but in fact, it was because the rest of the Collins

family were useless and ran the Collins family’s hotel in a mess that Dylan transferred the business to

her.

out with Dylan.

She forced a smile and said, “I know you care about me, Grandpa, but I’m in good health now. I can

deal with more work.”

Dylan laughed and avoided the subject. He said, “You should focus on recuperating.”

After saying so much, he refused to give in..

Brenda had no choice but to give up.

She hung up the phone and went downstairs. Kelly was eating.

She picked at the ice cream with a toothpick.

Brenda was surprised. “Why don’t you use a spoon?”

Kelly looked up and smiled embarrassedly. “I’m going to join the crew for filming. I have to lose weight

and can’t eat too

much.”

Brenda nodded and asked casually, “What scene are you filming?”

“A war film mainly about men. Although I’m the female lead, I’m actually just a side character. I don’t

have many scenes, but it’s quite tiring to film,” replied Kelly.

Brenda frowned when she heard Kelly’s words.

Although she didn’t really like Kelly, Kelly was still a member of the Collins family. She had even earned

the Resort Hotel project for the Collins family, so naturally, Brenda wouldn’t treat her badly.

“Don’t film it if it’s hard on you.” Brenda didn’t think much of it. “You won’t earn much money anyway.

The movie might not even be released after your hard work. I have a bank card here for you. It’s

enough for you to spend.”

Then, Brenda placed a bank card in front of Kelly.

Kelly was not a sensitive girl, so she did not hear the condescending tone in Brenda’s tone. After all,

Olivia always spoke in this tone, calm, cold, and indifferent, like that of a big shot.

Kelly was already used to it. She thought that Brenda really cared about her.

She picked up the bank card happily and asked Brenda expectantly, “Brenda, you’re so nice. How

much money is in there?”

Two hundred thousand dollars? 10 million dollars? Or 2 million dollars?

Brenda looked down on Kelly and said coldly, “Maybe 20 or 30 thousand dollars. I’m not sure of the

exact amount.”

Kelly was at a loss for words.

‘So little money?‘ she thought.
