walked in the garden again. “Then, what did I do that could make you smitten like this?” She raised her brows, prompted him to
answer her question.
“For the record, I am not smitten, I just keep my promise to make you my woman, that’s it.” Hunter shrugged his shoulders, but it
was clear that he was teasing her again.
Lilac took a deep breath. “I feel like I have been running for miles, whenever I am talking with you. Fine. I don’t need the answer.

not to speak to him again for her own sanity, more so, there were a lot of things to think about after what he revealed to her

until they left before you saved me.” Hunter smiled and it looked very genuine. “You are very smart.”
“How?” Lilac seemed to get the idea of what she might do to help him, but she wanted to know the detail of it.
“Normally, you will go to the pack house and ask for someone to come and help, but if you did that, I would have longed dead,
because there is no way I will be able to hold my breath for that long.” Hunter stopped walking and without Lilac
