Chapter 32: The Best Blind Date Man

In the early morning of the next day, I woke up. I was powerless all over my body sitting on the end of the bed and looked around.

In the room, except me, there was no one else even a shadow of Wayne.

I smiled wryly. I was surly poisoned too much...

I measured my temperature by the thermometer put on the end of the bed. 37 ℃, the fever had been brought down.

I got out of my hto have a bowl of warm porridge at breakfast diner. The old woman who was buying the porridge saw that I was pale and very weak that even a breeze could blowdown any time, so she asked with a worried face," Girl, you look very pale. Are you ill?"

" Madam, I'm fine. I will be better after having a rest later when I finish having this porridge."

In the afternoon, I was recovered a lot. My spirit was good, too, so I planned to visit my grandma in the hospital.

She recovered very well after the operation and she may leave hospital after a short period of time.

I bought sfruit and grandma's favorite cakes and went to the inpatient department directly.

I walked into the wardroom. Grandma was laying on the end of the bed and talking with my uncle. Her complexion was better now. She asked my uncle happily to bringa chair when she saw I was coming.

"Grandma, I bought you scakes from 'Fulianji', have a try."

She smiled and took over the box I passed to her. She opened it carefully and looked atkindly," Lydia, grandma can't eat these much. Don't buy next time. Save the money and buy something good for yourself."

"Grandma, it's fine, just have a try."

Grandma lovedso much. She saved anything delicious forto eat. Especially when my father and mother were dead, grandma lovedmore even into her deepest heart.

"Lydia, since you are here today, I have something to ask you." She was having the cake and looked at me with a kind smile," I heart that Harriet introduced a boyfriend to you recently, did he?"

I nodded," I did not meet him. The man introduced by Harriet would not be sgood person."

Grandma sighed with sorriness and touched my head kindly," Your aunt still cannot change her personality after all these years. Don't bother about her. Lydia, be honest to your grandma, do you have a boyfriend in the university?"

"Grandma, it is normal for a girl to be not married tile 30 years old. I'm only 20, not in hurry."

"Grandma does not have too much tnow. Your parents passed away too early, so I must watch you getting married and live in happiness, so I can explain to your parents when I go down there. Lydia, grandma is not asking you to get married and have babies immediately! Now, you should have a well- advised boyfriend and then, having a happy stable life after the university."

I knew in my heart that grandma was worrying about me. I would be a lonely and helpless person when she passed away.

"Lydia, find someone who treats you well and loves you with a sincere heart. The most important thing is a marriage between families of equal social rank. Then the rest of your life can be happy."

I could not deny the words she said. The importance of the similar social ranks, I knew that thoroughly since I met Wayne. As for the unrealistic fantasy, I already extinguished it from the beginning.

"I asked you second aunt to pay attention for you and she repliedlast few days. Your second aunt has a classmate and she introduced a boy. He is 28 years old, a few years older than you. He graduated from Medical College. Found by your second aunt, she is quite reliable!"

Grandma brought the phone of my uncle and she found the pictures deftly.

"The boy is not looking handsome, just normal, but he graduated from the Medical College. His salary of a month can be over 10 thousand dollars since he is working in the city hospital and, he got a house. His conditions are good. I will ask your aunt to arrange a date if you like him!"

I glanced at the picture and did not moved by it. Grandma saw that I was not interested so she said with a little anger," Lydia, there are a lot of lures in the big city. Are you disliking him since you are thinking that he cannot give you a good life?"

I did not say anything. I could not bear to let the good heart of my grandma down. Perhaps, I should go to have a date. If he matched my conditions, I may just get married with whoever I got! Even though I was young, my state of mind was already old. I was tried about the lonely and helpless days.

There were a lot of lures in the big city for sure. I was at loose ends only because of one Wayne Gilbert. Thinking innocently to occupy the thing that did not belong toat all. It was better to find a guy to live a normal and stable life than humiliating myself.

I picked up the phone in grandma's hand and had a look at the pictures of the man. He was about 30, normal looking.

"Grandma, please ask my aunt to arrange a date." I said after a while of silence.

Grandma was pleased since she heard that I admitted," Lydia, are you willing to have a date now? I will call your aunt later to ask her to arrange a date."

Grandma's efficiency on this thing was so high. She toldthe place and tof the date at the same night.

I made up simply and dressed in a dress with small flowers. My appearance was pure and pretty.

My phone rang when I just got into the car. It was Katherine askingto have a BBQ buffet with her. I told you about the date and Katherine screamed loudly. My eardrum was nearly been through.
