Chapter 51 Jerignored Taylor.
As Mike wrapped things up, Mikayla and Jermade their way out of the bar.
Mikayla abruptly swung away from Jerome's grasp.
Jerome's demeanor shifted, and he said icily, “Hand your car key over to the driver. You'll ride in my car.” Mikayla was skeptical.
“How did you know | brought my car?” Jerreplied in an unpleasant tone, “Anyone could spot it with a color and plate as eye-catching as yours.” Mikayla was at a loss for words.
Eduard had gifted the Maserati that Mikayla owned as her dowry for her marriage. It was painted bright red, and the license plate comprised her initials and birthdate. Though not understated, it wasn’t as ostentatious as Jer described.

As Jerrevved the car, Mikayla couldn't help but ask, “Why were you here around this hour?” This place wasn’t close to Miller Group, nor was it in the direction of Dragoncrest Villa.
Jercoldly glared at her.
“How about you tellfirst? Why were you at Taylor's bar, even cozying up in the booth with him? Since when were you guys get so close?” Jerhad asked Mikayla that squestion before the car accident.
And she had clarified that they weren't close.
She wondered if it meant that they had now grown closer.
Of course, Mikayla wouldn't be foolish enough to confess to Jerthat she intended to partner with Taylor against Bernhal Enterprise.
If their collaboration was successful, she could’ve confronted Jerabout it.
However, their relationship had soured, and Taylor even intended to harm her.
To preserve her pride and dignity, Mikayla was reluctant to confess.
She then replied indifferently. “Thanks for coming to my rescue. But who | meet and what relationships | have are none of your concern.” Jerwas infuriated by Mikayla’s seeming admission.
“Mikayla, don’t forget you're a married woman.” Mikayla scoffed and rebuked, “And what about you having dinner and bathing at Kylie’s place? Did you suddenly forget you're a married man?” Jerwas unsure of Mikayla’s reference to bathing. Still, Mikayla had always tended to blow trivial issues out of proportion when they involved Kylie.
Jerfurrowed his brows.
“We've known each other for years, and it wasn’t news to you!” Mikayla chuckled in exasperation.

“I'm asking for an answer, Mikayla. Don’t change the subject!” Mikayla replied, “It’s all the sto me. I'm not in charge of your affairs, and | Chapter St don’t need you to meddle in mine.” At the sight of Mikayla’s cold and distant demeanor, Jerfelt a combination of anger and frustration.
Upon returning from the airport, Jerhad received urgent news from Bernhal Enterprise. Initially, he intended to rush over. However, Mike noticed Mikayla’s car as they stopped for traffic. In a short time, Mike had uncovered that the bar was owned by Taylor.
Jergrew concerned for Mikayla. He disregarded the issue with Bernhal Enterprise and instructed Mike to resolve everything quickly.
Instead of gratitude, Jerwas faced with Mikayla’s aloof expression. It was as though she was accusing him of interfering in her affairs.
“Can’t you stop doing pointless stuff, Mikayla?” Jerclenched his jaw.
“I met Kylie last night for work-related discussions. Do you think Taylor is s kind of saint? You've acted on a spur of anger and put yourself in a risky situation here!” Mikayla understood Jerome's words.
Jerbelieved she was unwilling to accept his meeting with Kylie. Hence, she visited Taylor's place, putting herself in danger. With that, she could force him to intervene.
If Taylor mentioned tying her up, that wouldn't be unjustifiable.
Mikayla retorted, “As you're so unwilling, you could have just stayed out of it.”
