unknown man’s form, so she could watch his every move intently, and her heart
shuddered more with every step he took

her eyes to observe the surroundings below the cliff the entire time. She knew that she
couldn’t escape her fate today, so now all she could do was try to save herself. At least,
she should stay alive until Nicholas arrived.
The man didn’t know what she was planning, so he sneered derisively as he mercilessly
watched the woman who still refused to give up and kept stalling for time, even toward
the end of her life.
