Chapter 151
“All he’s ever wanted was to get into the Sinclair family, and now that Renee can’t live without him, he just took
off like this?” Charles said.
“Yeah, we managed to get his flight info,” one of the staff replied.
“Check with the airport, see if he really boarded,” Charles demanded.
“Already checked. Blake Alston did board the plane,” the staff reported.
Charles rubbed his temples, suspicion gnawing at him-did something serious just pop up for Blake out of the
blue?
Just then, May called again.
“Charles, any progress catching him? Blake sure knows how to play games, huh? Pulling a disappearing act just
to get us to treat him nicer. And now, with Renee so dependent on him, | bet he'll be asking for the moon any
minute!” May said.
Charles had thought exactly that at first, but now that Blake really was gone, he started to doubt whether it was
all just a scheme.
May was still ranting on the phone, and Charles suddenly heard a loud crash coming from upstairs.
“Just get Blake back within half an hour, no matter what it takes. Whatever he asks for, we'll give it to him,” May
urged.
Money's never been a problem for us anyway.
“Mom, Blake's already left the country,” Charles said.
May sounded incredulous, almost mocking, “He just left the country? Didn't bother to say a word to us?”
She'd thought Charles was kidding, but he wouldn't joke at a moment like this.
May's voice suddenly took on a worried edge. “So what do we do? Renee only wants Blake.”
Charles sighed, rubbing his temples. “If we really can’t find him, maybe we should get a psychologist over
here.”
There wasn’t much else they could do, anyway.
The Sinclair family wasted no tcalling in a psychologist, but as soon as Renee realized Blake wasn't there,
she went wild-screaming, curling up on her bed, hurling pillows, smashing whatever she could grab, and more
than once threatening to throw herself out the window. The whole house was thrown into chaos by her
breakdown.
May tried to hold her back, but ended up with several scratches on her arm for her trouble.

Chapter 151
Renee tuned out everyone else, just crying out for Blake over and over again.
“You killed Blake! You all just want to ruin my life! If he doesn’t cback, | swear I'm jumping” Renee shricked
at the top of her lungs.
With Rence shutting everyone out, even the psychologist couldn't do a thing.
By now, Renee’s room was a disaster zone-barely anything was left whole, and she even chucked the food at the
walls whenever someone tried to bring her a meal.
It only took half a day for the Sinclair household to turn into complete chaos-people running around, shouting, no
one knowing what to do.
That's when May remembered Yolanda. She dialed her up instantly, insisting that she needed to get back ASAP
and deal with Renee.
“You need to be here within the hour. It’s on you to look after the Sinclair family,” May urged.
Yolanda was still over at lan’s place, coordinating with a few Starlight execs.
She also had to play her part in front of Charles, so now really was the tto head over to the Sinclair house.
She stood up, put her tablet away, and made her way upstairs.
Through the open crack of a door, she heard lan talking on the phone.
“Of course | want them to suffer. | can only feel better when they're miserable, understand?” lan’s voice came
through.
Yolanda’s hand hesitated for a split second as she prepared to knock, but honestly, she wasn’t the slightest bit
surprised that lan had such a domineering, almost menacing side to him.
Knock, knock.
She knocked twice, her tone cool and detached. “I'm heading back to the Sinclair family.”
lan hurriedly hung up and turned around, the fierce edge in his demeanor vanishing instantly. “Leaving
now?”
“Yes.”
lan couldn't bear to let her leave, so he grabbed her from the hallway, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her,
gently cupping her face.
Yolanda let out a muffled gasp of surprise.
He pinned her against the door; her hand pressed against his chest, trying to steady herself.
‘I swear, you can literally tell he’s gotten way better at this,’ Yolanda thought.
“They're going to make things difficult for you again,” lan murmured.

Yolanda turned her head away, feeling lan’s lips teasing along her neck. “Don’t leave any marks,” she reminded
him.
Earlier, he'd been a little too eager, going over the sspots and leaving snew, deeper hickeys,
practically walking a tightrope-who knew when Charles would notice?
Neither of them could risk Charles blowing up at them right now.
“I won't, | promise,” lan replied, a hint of mischief in his voice.
His lips grazed slowly over her skin, his lashes lowering to hide the burning heat in his gaze.
Yolanda’s phone started ringing again—this tit was Charles. She guessed he wanted her to head straight
over to the Sinclair place, since he was tied up and she’d have to cover for him.
She tapped the answer button and shot lan a warning glare.
He instantly calmed down, but couldn't fully hold back, still stealing little pecks at her neck.
“Babe,” Yolanda greeted him.
“Yolanda, did Mom call you yet?” Charles asked.
“Yeah, Mom called. I'm heading over now. What's going on with Renee?” Yolanda asked, acting clueless but
sounding sincerely concerned.
Charles didn’t say anything for a moment. Honestly, Renee had brought this whole mess on herself, and it was
probably for the best if Yolanda stayed out of the details-save her from holding any grudges.
“Her mood’s pretty rough. Go check on her, but just be careful not to get hurt yourself,” Charles said.
“Will do,” Yolanda replied.
She hung up, pried lan’s hand off her waist, sending him a clear warning to behave.
His favorite place was always her waist-his hands fit around it perfectly. She wasn’t just skinny, she had curves
that could turn anyone’s head. Just a glance was enough to make your heart skip a beat.
Yolanda needed to leave, so she tidied up her outfit in the bathroom mirror, making sure everything looked
flawless and crease-free.
lan leaned in the doorway, half-casual, his eyes locked onto her gentle, delicate profile.
He swallowed hard, muscles visibly tense as he stepped over, sliding up behind her, surrounding her between his
arms and the sink.
“You're really beautiful...” lan murmured, his voice rough with emotion, pressing his face into Yolanda’s neck.
He breathed in her scent, voice barely above a whisper, thick with longing.

Yolanda buttoned up her shirt, knowing when enough was enough.

lan lingered for a moment before pulling away, his eyes still wet at the corners. “You did that on purpose, didn’t
you?”
She just gave him a look, not denying it, then pushed him away.
“I gotta go,” Yolanda said.
He didn’t dare get in the way, just gave a soft “Okay” and hooked his pinky with hers. “Don’t forget to text me
back.”
He looked genuinely worried she might not reply-with both of them so busy, texting was all they had to stay
close.
“I will,” she replied.
She gave him a quick smile and went to change in the next room-there was no way May would let her show up in
this business suit.
She switched to something soft and elegant, almost debutante-like.
When lan saw her cout in that lotus pink dress, his gaze instantly brightened.
Yolanda was about to head downstairs when he slipped his arms around her waist from behind.
“Yolanda, you're not allowed to have any other pets but me, got it? Or else...” lan murmured, sounding half-
joking but with an edge.
Even with his playful, vulnerable tone, there was a hidden intensity in his words—something dark and fiercely
possessive, lurking just beneath the surface.
Yolanda didn’t notice the hidden edge in his voice-she just went, “Mm-hmm,” while checking her phone. “Let go,
it’s getting late.”
“I'm serious,” lan said firmly.
“Yeah, got it,” Yolanda replied, brushing him off without much interest.
She barely spared him a glance as she nudged him away and headed straight downstairs.
lan just stood there, eyes locked on her retreating figure, a complicated mix of longing and possessiveness
