Chapter 319:
At that moment, the sound of a car pulling up outside Cox Manor reached their ears.
“They're here,” Anthony said, looking at the two police officers apologetically. “Please make yourselves
comfortable in the guest room. We have sfamily matters to attend to.”
The officers exchanged a glance and nodded in unison.
Stanley ushered them out of the living room towards the guest room.
As soon as the door closed behind them, the villa’s gate swung open. Cathy strode in, holding Kristopher’s arm,
with Marc and Jessa trailing behind. The quartet entered the manor together.
“Mr. Anthony Cox, Miss Nelson,” Cathy greeted them politely.
Without so much as a glance in her direction, Anthony said coldly, “Take a seat.”

she made to sit beside Kristopher, Anthony shot her an icy look.
“You go sit on the other side,” he ordered, gesturing towards a different sofa.
Cathy's lips curled in grievance as she reached for Kristopher’s hand, her eyes brimming with hurt.
“Kristopher...”
“What? Will you die if you don’t sit next to Kristopher?” Anthony sneered contemptuously at her display.
Tears welled in Cathy's eyes as she protested, “Anthony, | didn't mean...”
“If you didn’t mean it, sit over there as | instructed,” Anthony cut her off sternly, his cold, authoritative voice
laced with unyielding arrogance.
Cathy paled instantly.

“Cathy, behave,” Kristopher soothed, rubbing his throbbing temples as he placated her softly.
“Okay.”
Hearing Kristopher’s words, Cathy reluctantly took the seat Anthony had pointed to, stealing a resentful glance
at Belinda.
Why was it that she couldn't even sit beside Kristopher, yet Belinda could openly sit next to Anthony?
Belinda was divorced from Kristopher and no longer part of the Cox family.
“You too, have a seat.”
After Cathy sat, Anthony poured himself stea, glancing at Jessa indifferently. “Sit next to Cathy.”
Jessa quickly waved her hands in protest. “No, no. I'm fine standing.” As Cathy's agent, she didn’t feel it was her
place to take a seat on such an occasion. She was already honored by Anthony's invitation into his home.
“Just do as | say.” Anthony picked up his teacup and slammed it onto the tea table with a loud noise. “What? Is
no one listening to me?”
The forceful aura and booming voice made Jessa’s legs buckle. “I'll sit down.”
Jessa scurried to take the seat beside Cathy, prompting the polite smile to vanish from Cathy's face.
She shot Belinda another bitter look, clearly convinced Anthony's change in demeanor was due to Belinda ratting
them out.
