Chapter 308:

“Belinda.”

Noticing the disappointment etched across Belinda’s face, Ryland let out a sigh and offered sconsolation.

“In our business, cancellations are pretty normal.”

Belinda pressed her lips together and nodded. “I understand.” Despite understanding the nature of her work, the

sudden letdown was hard to accept.

“How about this,” Ryland gently patted her shoulder and said. “Since there’s no meeting, why not take the day

to relax, rest up, and clear your head?”

Belinda nodded and left the office, feeling dejected.

Once outside the studio, a call from Darren finally cthrough, confirming the meeting's cancellation.

She helplessly exchanged a few words with him.

Right after hanging up, her phone rang again.

It was from a phone shop in the old town district.

Her phone had been damaged by Cathy previously and had been left at the shop for repairs.

The call was simply to inform her that her phone was ready and that she could pick it up at her convenience.

With nothing else planned, Belinda quickly went downstairs to hail a taxi to the old town area.

Half an hour later, as she stepped out of the taxi, she noticed a familiar car parked across the street.

The car door swung open, and a woman in a sleek black business suit quickly stepped out and strode into an

alley.

Belinda recognized her instantly.

It was Jessa, Cathy's agent.

Belinda frowned.

The mobile city in the old town was known for dealing with old electronics, both selling and repairing them. What

business did Jessa have in such a place?

Nevertheless, Belinda had no real connection to Jessa and preferred not to waste her energy pondering her

actions.

She shifted her attention away and continued toward the phone repair shop.

Unexpectedly, she encountered Jessa again right at the entrance of the shop.

Jessa was handing over a phone to the shop owner, her tone detached, saying, “Can you check if you have a

charger for this model?”

The shop owner took the phone, glanced at it, and began searching for a charger. He chuckled, “Why has this

phone model from five years ago suddenly becpopular again? Just a few days ago, | fixed another one just

like it.”

Belinda’s curiosity was piqued by the owner's comment. She instinctively glanced at the phone in Jessa’s hand.

Upon seeing it, her eyes widened in shock.

This phone... It was identical to the one Joyce had used five years ago! Even the flashy diamond sticker on the

side was the same!

Belinda had personally placed that sticker on Joyce's phone five years earlier!
