Chapter 210:
“Is it possible that Belinda intended to use this to make amends with Kristopher?” Helen arched an eyebrow.
“The blue ribbon matches the navy suits Kristopher favored. She took his new car right after their divorce, and
now a gift box appears in the car. Seems like an attempt at reconciliation...”
Belinda watched the two bodyguards as they finished their inspection of the car, her brow furrowing before she
inquired, “Other than this gift box, is there any other damage to the car?”
Maggie's stare intensified at the bodyguards, laden with a silent threat.
Exchanging wary looks, the bodyguards hesitated before answering, “The car is in pristine condition, and...
there’s no damage whatsoever.”
“That's good,” Belinda said, already turning to leave.
Despite driving earlier, she was confident that it hadn't caused any damage, but she also thought it reasonable
for the car owner to double-check. The box had been in the car from the start and was unrelated to her. She
found no reason to linger and listen to their complaints.

a cautious glance at the surrounding crowd. “I don’t want anyone bothering you.”
Belinda’s initial reaction was to refuse, but she paused, considering. “Okay, there's something we need to talk
about.”
She wanted to discuss with Fred the damaging rumors that Kristopher and Cathy's PR firm had been spreading
about her online.
Fred nodded with enthusiasm and quickly returned to the bar to change out of his work clothes.
“Leaving so soon?” Maggie smirked at Belinda, giving the box in her hand a shake. “Isn't there something you're
missing?”
Belinda shot her a frosty look. “That was already in the car when | borrowed it. It’s not mine.”

Maggie lifted her eyebrows in mock surprise. “Not yours, you say?”
“Maggie, please, don’t complicate things for Miss Nelson. She'll never confess,” Cathy said with a sigh. “Just give
the box back to her. | doubt Kristopher even cares about it.”
“Give it back? Why would | do that?” Maggie retorted with a sneer. “Since she insists it isn’t hers, | might as well
see for myself.” Smirking, she flipped open the box. “Let’s find out what's inside!”
Belinda peered over, her curiosity piqued.
With a sharp click, the box sprang open, revealing a jewelry case and an envelope.
Maggie clicked her tongue, lifting the lid of the jewelry case with disdain. “Just a pair of tacky rings. Belinda, do
you really think you can mend fences with these?”
She then tore open the envelope and began reading aloud, “Dear Mr. Cox, it has cto our attention that you
purchased this car because Mrs. Cox adores racing. As a token of our appreciation for your passion, we've
included a set of matching rings for you and your wife. May you enjoy a lifetof joy together...”
Maggie was joyfully reading the letter aloud when she abruptly halted, sensing something amiss.
The room fell into such a profound silence that the faintest sound seemed amplified.
Cathy’s complexion turned ghostly white.
