Chapter 133:

After hearing Cathy out, Kristopher cast an impatient glance at Belinda. “Let's go,” he declared tersely. “There's

nothing left to discuss with you two.”

Belinda took a step back, her gaze steady. “Now that you've seen Miss Miller is alright, can we end this? Delete

the photos and all backups, and I'll be out of your hair. You won't have to deal withinterrupting your time

with her anymore.”

Kristopher’s brow furrowed deeply at her words. His voice dropped to a whisper, edged with irritation. “Belinda,

don’t twist my words. What ‘twith her’ are you implying? To me, Cathy is nothing more than a sister.”

A scornful smile tugged at Belinda’s lips. “Oh, so you two are siblings?” The pretense was palpable.

Barely a month before Cathy's return, he had already made arrangements for an engagement venue and

ordered a cake. Yet now, he claimed to see Cathy as merely a sister?

Kristopher caught the biting sarcasm in her tone.

He shot Belinda a sharp look. “Believe what you want, but there's nothing going on between us.”

As he reached for his phone to erase Madisyn’s pictures, a faint voice stopped him at the ward's entrance.

“Kristopher, Miss Nelson...”

Kristopher’s movements halted.

“Why are you up?”

He turned around, swiftly steadying Cathy by her shoulders to escort her back to bed.

“I... I noticed you both hadn't returned to the room for a while, so | cto check on you...” Cathy explained,

reaching out to clutch Belinda’s sleeve tightly. “Miss Nelson, you've already apologized... Can't we put our past

differences behind us? Please, don’t mind the simplicity of my ward. Cinside and join Kristopher andfor

a chat, will you?”

Belinda scowled. Her instinct was to pull away from Cathy's grip. “I have nothing to discuss with you two.”

Yet, surprisingly, Cathy's hold was strong, despite her feigned frailty in front of Kristopher.

Belinda tried to free herself but couldn't dislodge Cathy's grip; instead, Cathy teetered, nearly tumbling over.

“Be careful!”

Kristopher quickly braced Cathy, preventing her fall.

Cathy was still holding onto Belinda’s sleeve. “Miss Nelson, do you hate me?” she asked, her voice trembling.

Belinda felt a strong urge to nod and confess her true feelings of disdain.

However, knowing Kristopher was still keeping Madisyn’s photos, she feared that her honesty might provoke him.

Reluctantly, she mustered a smile and shook her head, betraying her true desires. “No, | don’t.”

“Why won't you stay here with Kristopher and keepcompany?” Cathy pleaded, her eyes red and filled with

tears.

Kristopher, who detested seeing Cathy upset, loosened his tie and gave Belinda an annoyed look. “You don’t

have any pressing matters. Spending a little tchatting with Cathy won't do any harm.” He continued, a bit

more assertively, “I'll drive you hlater and take care of things along the way.”

Belinda understood he was referring to deleting Madisyn’s photos — a task he’d only complete if she complied.

Once more, Kristopher was using his leverage over her for Cathy's benefit.

Suppressing a surge of emotions, Belinda let out a cold, forced laugh.

“Fine.”

She knew Cathy had reasons for insisting she stay.

Belinda was intrigued to find out what Cathy planned to reveal with Kristopher watching.
