Chapter 130:
Belinda leaned back in her seat and got even more comfortable. She showed no intention of standing up, let
alone getting down on her knees.
She shot a cold glance in Cathy's direction and spoke in a monotonous voice. “I only cto apologize to you
because Kristopher threatened me. | was actually worried at first. | didn’t know how to give you an apology you
don’t deserve with Kristopher watching. It was very nice of you to send him away.”
She took her phone out of her pocket as she spoke and proceeded to fiddle with it. “Now that it’s just the two of
us here, | don’t have to do it anymore.”
“Didn’t you hearjust now? | told you to kneel down and beg for my forgiveness!” Cathy rolled her eyes and
scoffed, then began to inspect her nails. Her tone turned contemptuous as she continued, “If you don’t do as |
say, | will tell Kristopher that you refuse to apologize. | know he still has leverage over you. Are you willing to risk
the possible consequences?”
Belinda’s hand paused. She cocked her head to the side and smirked. “You're right. He does have leverage over
me. That's exactly what he used to force my hand. However... His threat also sparked sinspiration in me.”
Belinda raised an eyebrow and lifted the phone in her hand. “Miss Miller, how do you think Kristopher will react
once he finds out that you've been faking your illness all this time?”
Cathy’s eyes went wide as saucers, and her voice went a little off-key. “Belinda, you—You recorded it?!”

the speaker. “Your husband, for me, is willing to do anything.”
All the color instantly drained from Cathy's face as she heard her own voice. Her hands clutched at the bed
sheets, her face a mask of fear and resentment. “Kristopher was right. You're a vicious little snake! You conniving
bitch!”
Cathy had asked Kristopher to leave, thinking that she could intimidate Belinda when they were alone. In fact,
she had every confidence that she could force the latter to back down. Never had she imagined that Belinda
would be so cunning.

“Oh, you think recording the truth makesa bitch?”
Belinda sneered, turning the auoff. “What do you call yourself, then, Miss Miller, when you stepped on the
gas and deliberately rammed into me?”
“Racetrack? Especially when | slowed down for you. Wasn't it vicious of you to deliberately mention the meat in
the pot when | was desperately searching for my missing cat? Ha! And don’t forget you even pusheddown
the stairs. Aren’t you a snake for pretending to fall sick at the Cox mansion in front of everyone and coercing
Kristopher to bringhere and apologize to you?”
Cathy's face twisted into an ugly expression. Her eyes narrowed, and her nostrils flared. “I swear, if you give that
recording to Kristopher, | will never let you go if it's the last thing I do!”
“Please, I'm not interested in what you do with your life,” Belinda retorted with a yawn. “Since you like putting
on an act for everyone, just continue with your charades. Whatever happens between you and Kristopher is none
of my business. | would like to ask you to mind yourself, though. Don’t botherwith such trivial nonsense
again. Otherwise, | just might find the tand energy to release this recording to the internet.”
With that, Belinda finally stood and gracefully straightened her clothes. “Now, Miss Miller,” she said in that same
indifferent voice, “do I still need to kneel and apologize to you?”
Cathy's eyes darted to Belinda’s phone. “No,” she bit out through gritted teeth.
