Reese sat in the living room for almost two hours. Her mind kept wandering on Lukas's hands; she became
extremely worried!
However, she didn't dare go upstairs, fearing that Lukas would get angry and take it out on his own.
But even so, she was not at ease at all!
Two hours later, she secretly called the housekeeper and asked her to open Lukas's door and see what was going
on with him inside.
The housekeeper also took Lukas injury as a priority and quietly went upstairs at the risk of being scolded.
At that moment, when she arrived in his room, she was immediately frightened.
Lukas handsface was red, and he was in a daze. When she reached out and touched his forehead, it was so
hot.
The housekeeper didn't dare to waste tand hurried downstairs to inform Reese.
Reese's stomach was churning in regret now. Lukas had a fever, which was probably a sign of infection in his

She asked the housekeeper to call the family doctor. Then she quickly went upstairs, took an alcohol-wet towel,
and kept wiping Lukas's body to cool him down physically.
When the doctor came, he started to check on him and found out that Lukas's fever was not so severe.
However, the situation is still quite serious.
As the doctor checked him, he determined that the fever was caused by inflammation of the wound.
He re-bandaged Lukas's wound, prescribed antipyretics, and instructed Reese to wake him up to take the
medicine before going to sleep.
Reese asked the housekeeper to send the doctor away; she then brought warm water to Lukas room and planned
to wake him up to take the medicine.
In the end, after waking him for a long time, Lukas opened his eyes in a daze. He glanced at Reese dazedly and
said to himself, "Am | dreaming? Why is Reese in my room?"
Reese was stunned for a bit, and her mouth twitched twice. Did he think she was just a hallucination?
She was about to ask Lukas to take medicine.
When Lukas murmured again, "Reese has no conscience at all; how could she chere?
After saying it, he closed his eyes again, turned on the other side, and regarded her as air.
Reese stared at the ceiling speechlessly. Who has no conscience?
If she had no conscience, she would not have called the doctor.
But she didn't take it seriously; seeing his situation, she could only wake him again. He pushed his arm twice and
said helplessly, "Lukas, don't sleep yet; get up and take smedicine first!"
When Lukas heard the voice, it sounded like mosquitoes buzzing in his ears while he was sleeping, so he
stretched out his hand and slapped Reese's hand twice uncomfortably.
Consequently, the hand that he stretched out happened to be the injured one, and he woke up hissing from the
pain.
He couldn't help frowning because of the pain. He slowly opened his eyes and was stunned to see Reese. But he
recovered his composure quickly and said in a nonchalant tone, "Why are you in my room?"

Seeing him act like this, Reese didn't want to bully the patient, so she said patiently, "You have a fever; | just
asked the doctor to cand prescribe smedicine for you; get up and take sbefore you sleep!"
Lukas was sick after all, and lying on the bed, he turned his head away from Reese a little waywardly: "I don't
want too!"
Reese felt a headache. "Your fever won't get better if you don't take the medicine!"
Lukas thought of the phone call from her senior and the message from James earlier and said in a stiff voice, "It
doesn't matter if my fever doesn't go away!"
Reese helplessly raised her hand to support her forehead: "Well, if you insist on not drinking the medicine, then
I'll call the doctor back and give you an injection or an infusion!"
Lukas looked at Reese suddenly, and his tone sounded a little anxious: "Who wants an injection?"
Reese stared at him and said in a tone as mellow as possible, "What do you want? An injection or take the
medicine; you have to choose one."
At this moment, she felt like a mother forcing her child to take medicine or an injection. It breaks her heart to do
so, but it is the only way, or she'll keep worrying about him.
Lukas stared at Reese's worried face; his expression kept fluctuating.
