Chapter 2535 Who Are You
“We're now in the Demon Wolf pack's territory. Be careful, everyone,” Francois reminded loudly.
The entire party dared not breathe too loudly as they followed behind Brutus and Francois. Even the two appeared
nervous at that moment.
As the sky gradually darkened, Brutus ordered the men to set up camp. He chose a few men to take turns keeping
watch, and Jared was among one of them.
Once Francois had determined the compound for their camp, he took out a bag made of fabric and littered the
ground with the white powder it contained.
“Jared, I'll keep watch on your behalf at night. You should get more rest,” Percy offered.
He was certain Jared was exhausted after a long day's journey.

Ali and Emily volunteered to help as well but their offers were also declined by Jared.
Jared wanted to use the opportunity to study the surrounding area.
Even though he hadn't recovered his powers and his spiritual sense wasn't as strong as before, it was enough for
him to sense the aura of demon beasts following them.
As the Power of Dragons and Phoenixes within Jared's body came from celestial beasts, it was particularly sensitive
to the aura of other beasts.
Deep in the night, everyone was sleeping soundly, exhausted from the long journey during the day. Jared stood
quietly by the side and peered into the darkness.
A Demon Wolf gradually approached. Despite sensing its presence, Jared didn't make a sound nor attempt to stop
it.
When the Demon Wolf finally reached the campsite, it stopped in its tracks abruptly. As if it had discovered
something frightening, it turned around and fled in a panic.
Staring at the white powder on the ground, Jared was certain that the substance was responsible for repelling the
Demon Wolf. It was now clear to him that Francois was also highly skilled in alchemy.
A short while after the Demon Wolf's departure, a figure emerged behind a huge tree, a sight that caused Jared to
furrow his brows.
Without a moment's hesitation, Jared ran after it, causing the figure to flee.
However, the figure finally came to a halt after a short pursuit. From some distance away, Jared asked him, “Who
are you? Why do you exude the aura of a demon beast?”
When the figure slowly turned around to reveal his fur-covered body, Jared instantly knew that it was a demon
beast who had transformed into a man.

“And who are you? Why do you possess the aura of a celestial beast and a man at the same time?”
When the figure threw the question back at him, Jared didn't answer.
He wasn't going to reveal his identity until he could discern the intentions of the mysterious figure.
Both parties simply stared each other down without saying another word, their eyes brimming with distrust.
All of a sudden, a loud sound rang out as the figure disappeared into the darkness of the night.
However, right before he left, the figure spoke to Jared through a mysterious echo. “I'm Leifr, and I'll be seeing you
again.”
Just as Jared was about to probe further, Brutus' voice rang out from behind him. “What are you doing here? Aren't
you supposed to be guarding the camp? Are you planning to escape?”
Throwing Brutus a glance, Jared flatly replied, “I just came out to relieve myself.”
