If he doesn't kill us for keeping this hidden." I tell Emma to stop it, that I have exactly what we need to distract him.
As I walk over to take a seat, Emma asks what I am going to do. “Just wait and see.” I tell her. As I lower myself into the chair, I say: "Council member Leah knows what I am." My Wolf complimentsfor being smart, but at the stshe scoldsfor being an idiot.
Maddox looks atand starts shaking his head and instead of talking out loud, he starts talking through the mind-link. "What were you thinking, Dagmar? Do you know how danger that is? What if she reports you to her colleagues?" He fires the questions atand then he sighs. "She will not tell them, she promisedthat. But I had to use my Alpha voice in order to keep Lily from running away." I answer him. "What happened.” He asks and I explain the situation to him. Even though he understands my reasoning, he still does not like the fact that there are now two people outside the Pack that know about my secret.
"It will be fine, Maddox. Who is Lily going to tell and Council member Leah has a secret of her own?" I say. He turns to face me, and it looks like he is about to say something, when all hell breaks loose.
