Chapter 413 Chapter 413 Maleah's p.o.V.

Dax is the first one to get up and we all follow his example quickly as I see sof the Omegas obstructing a few females from coming for us, looks like it is something they do more often by the looks of it. Mack guidesout of the main dining room while Elyse and I are talking about our appointment we have later today, we will be taking a look at the ideas I have for the dresses. I will take note of every comment I get and I don't mind if they are good or bad, they have to wear them after all.

Stepping into the Alpha office I see only our current leadership are present and that is when I realize this is their usual morning meeting, not really a meeting that calls for our former leadership to be present for. "Sorry for disrupting your normal meeting, but last night during dinner I overheard a conversation that I needed to bring to your attention. A friend of Nightmare..." I don't get to say anything else as everyone is laughing their asses off and I shake my head as I sit down next to Mack.

"If you're done laughing your asses off you might want to hear she is planning on tricking Levi to mark her." I say and the office turns deadly silent as they look at me. “She is planning on using a banned herb to make it impossible for Levi's Lycan to tell him there is no connection, while the herb will give Levi every other sign that there is a bond and she is hoping to trick him into marking her as his Mate." I explain and I see Mack reaching for my back to pull the journal out.

"That is why you toldto get this from the attic, you know what to give him to reverse the herb's effects." He says as I shake my head. "No, I have a recipe for a herbal juice that will prevent the herb from working. I just don't have all the ingredients to make it and as a thank you for saving his ass Levi can go and get them for me." I say as I place the list on the coffee table.

Levi grabs the list from the table and tellsthat I will have everything the next morning, "Make sure you get the quantities I wrote down, I need to make enough for all of you." I say as I get up from the couch, Mack grabs hold of my hand to pullonto his lap. "Where do you think you're going, Angel?" He asks as his mouth moves from my ear to my neck, making it impossible forto answer him and I bite my bottom lip to keep from moaning.

"Mack, cut it out. I would like to know why we all need to take that herbal juice of hers." Dominic says and Mack growls softly against my skin before he turnsto face Dominic. "She told others about what she was planning on doing and it wouldn't surpriseif at least one of them asked for the herb. To make sure none of you get tricked by it I want to make sure you all take the juice, better safe than sorry." I answer Dominic while I am leaning against Mack's chest.

"When did you hear them talking about it?" Dominic asks and every head in the room snaps towards him, I am sure I told them when I overheard the conversation but maybe Dominic has a selective hearing. "As I already mentioned, I overheard their conversation last night during dinner." I tell him and he looks atwith confusion in his eyes, "The gift of hearing, Alpha." I say as I roll my eyes and Dominic smiles as he realizes he had forgotten a few things.

"Sorry, but having a Pack-member with that kind of abilities is still a bit unreal. I will probably make a few more remarks like this one before am used to it and I apologize in advance for it." Dominic says I try again o get out of Mack's lap, but he keeps holding on totightly and I quickly cto terms with the fact that I will be sitting in on this meeting. It only takesa few minutes to realize that this meeting isn't about anything important, because no one is on an assignment at the moment.

"Maleah, how many assignments do you have at the moment?" Dominic asks and I start counting on my fingers, "Alpha Bradley, the Lowbane family, Longford, the Bornshade Sisters and the Dayborne Brothers. Those are my current assignments, Alpha Bradley and the Lowbane family will be looking over their shoulder for a while and that means my focus will be on my other targets for the moment." I say as I count to ten on my fingers.

"You do know, the Lowbane family know, the has a Daughter." Dominic says and I tell them they had a Sister, Kay is nodding his head as he turns hisnet' tablet towards Dominic. Showing him the news item on her death and the way she was found in her hotel room, "What's with the...? Kay asks with a red face and I tell them about what she allowed her family to do to the sex slaves she had at her club, "None of them wanted to be there and even though they escaped that club they still live in fear.

I have watched all their faces as I tell them the testimonies my clients had given and I have seen just about every emotion run across their faces. A knock on the door prevents Dominic from asking another question and after he opens the door an Omega walks in with smuch needed coffee. We all wait until she has placed everything on the coffee table and Dominic closes the door behind her after she has left. We talk about every assignment I have and I fill them in on the reasons why I am going after my targets.

I tell them about Longford who raped and killed his Mate, before he raped and killed her younger Sister. I tell them about Caym and Tamish Dayborne and Sarka and Nishay Bornshade, they sell underaged Pups to males that train them to be sex slaves and most of them don't survive the training they have to go through. "Fuck, what happened to the Rogue?" I ask as something clicks in my mind.

"He is still in the dungeons, we didn't have tto question him yet." Mack answers me. "Did anyone talk to the Pups?" I ask and Dominic tellsthat their Mother talked to them, they were left thear the the border by a Sigma that works at the orphanage. However, none of them could tell Elyse why they were left there and so far the Sigma that left them there hasn't been willing to answer any questions. "Mom threw her in the dungeons when she refused to answer the questions Mom had and she is still there."

I hate where my mind is going but I need to find out if my train of thought is correct, this can't be a coincidence.

"Dominic, can you have someone bring the Sigma to your office? I might know why she took those Pups out there and if she did it for the reason that is running through my mind, we might need to alert other Alphas or even the Council of Elders." I say before I bury my nose in Mack's neck to calm myself down.
