"It will be just the two of us for another two days, Giselle. However, there will be additional guards placed here and on the Gamma floor. Orders from Prince Casimir. Deanna says.

Did something happen at Blue River Pack? Did Alpha Alexander have a back-up plan? I have so many questions and no answers at the moment.

"Prince Casimir has a very intuitive Lycan and we all trist Vlad's instincts. My best guess is that Vlad is feeling off and without more direct clues, this is the best we can do. Deanna says, just as if she had been reading my mind.

"Thank you, Penny." Deanna says as the Servant walks cut of the living room, she turns just a little to nod her head and I feel my blood running cold.

Deanna turns tothe moment the door has closed and I know that she has felt a change demeanor, that she knows that something is wrong.

The book I am reading is on the Mate-bond and it covers every aspect of the topic, including our laws that involve the Mate-bond. I hear the door open, but I am so engrossed with reading my book that I don't pay attention to who is entering.

An unknown couple walks into the living room and I stare at towards the door, because I didn't see or hear them enter. Deanna giggles as I let my eyes move between the couple and the door a few times and I softly smack her upper arm, indicating that I don't think it is funny.

"These are Ace's parents, August and Avery." Deanna says and all I can do is laugh.

They wait patiently forto stop laughing and when have caught my breath, I know I owe them and apology and an explanation.

August tellshow they got onto this floor without using the so-called front door and Avery takes a look at the booki am reading. Both Delta couples makefeel safe and I know I will have no trouble falling asleep tonight. Deanna leaves with Declan, after they have explained all the measures they took to keepsafe.

I say with a smirk on my face. We talk for a little while about the book I am reading and it is close to midnight, when I decide it is tto turn in for the night.

I fall asleep within seconds of lying down, but if I had known what the night would bring, I would have fought my sleep with all my might.
