Chapter 103

“Thank you, Mr. Quinn.” Jason was very polite to Zachary. After all, Zachary was the only one who

dared to stand up and speak for Anastasia when public opinion caused quite a stir on the internet.

“It’s nothing. But I’m not a philanthropist.” Zachary got up and looked at Jason meaningfully.

He was not a philanthropist and did not have any contact with Anastasia over the years. Naturally, he

was only willing to help her because he had his own intention of doing so.

Zachary liked Anastasia very much. Now that Anastasia was going to get a divorce and it caused such

a huge commotion, he naturally wanted to fight for a chance.

Jason’s expression darkened. “Goodbye, Mr. Quinn.”

“It’s fine if he wants benefits. But if he wants Anastasia, it won’t happen,” Jason mused to himself.

“About Snowball…” After Zachary left, Jason sat by the bed. “I buried it under the cherry tree in the

backyard.”

Anastasia looked at Jason and spoke in a low voice. “The house… We won’t be staying there forever.

Now that we buried Snowball there…”

Anastasia spoke cautiously for fear of hurting Jason’s pride.

After all, in Anastasia’s memory, Jace did not like men.

you say… us?”

Anastasia was silent for a long time before she finally spoke, “Yes.”

Jason’s life had been hard enough. Although she lived a broken life, she always wanted to help others.

“Even if it was six years ago, or even now, I always treat you as a young man, Jason. We can be a

family, and we can be siblings. But the only thing that we cannot become is lovers…”.

Anastasia had to remind him about it first.

“We don’t have to rent a house in a hurry. Let’s stay in Hillscester Mansion without any worry. I will work

hard to support you and Grandma.” Jason looked at Anastasia solemnly.

She could say anything she wanted, but he would do things in his own way.

“Jason…” Anastasia was helpless and wanted to say something more.

Nevertheless, Jason did not listen at all. “Annie, the things that you have at Alastor’s place. Can I call

FedEx to pick them up for you today?”

Jason was worried that Anastasia would go back to that house again.

When he looked at how Alastor behaved before, the latter did not look like he wanted to let Anastasia

off that easily.

Anastasia thought for a while and nodded. “Okay, but don’t try to have a direct confrontation with

Alastor.”

“Sure.” Jason nodded.

Nevertheless, Anastasia still felt slightly distressed as she looked at Jason. Her gaze was fixed on him

all the time.

Meanwhile, Jason looked around in confusion and then at himself. “Is there… any dirt on my face?”

He felt that the way Anastasia looked at him was strange.

“Have you suffered a lot all these years, Jason?” Anastasia asked in a low voice. Then, she added,

“Why didn’t you contact

me?”

“I tried my best to make myself stronger first when I still didn’t have the power to give you enough

sense of security.” Jason was silent for a moment. Then, he added, “I thought you would choose the

opportunity to further your studies abroad. But I didn’t expect that you chose to get married…”

Initially, Jason wanted to stay in Atharia and waited for Anastasia. However, he had waited for her for

four years.

He still did not manage to meet Anastasia..

The only thing that he received was the news that Anastasia was already married.

When Kimberly mentioned that her best friend had married a rich and handsome man, his heart hurt so

much. Nevertheless, he did not have the power to change it and he was afraid that he would disturb

Anastasia.

Therefore, in those four years, he chose to disappear completely from Anastasia’s world.

It was right until the time that Anastasia suddenly appeared in Atharia and they met each other by

chance in the elevator.

and saw that Jason was around as well. “If I had known you would come, I’d have bought you a rib to

boost your health.”

“Kimberly will take care of you, Annie. I’ll go there and pack your things up and move them out.” Jason

stood up and wanted to leave.

“Jason…” Anastasia stopped him. “If Alastor is at home, don’t move my things first. Call me and wait

for me to be discharged before moving them out.”
