Chapter 1021
“Alright, I’m on it.” Thalassa muttered, not wasting a single second. She leapt out of bed
and made a beeline for the door.
As she hurried, her legs momentarily gave way, nearly sending her tumbling to the floor.
But with a fierce determination, she steadied herself and powered through the weakness
in her legs, making a swift exit and remembering to shut the door behind her.
She stepped into the elevator alone and pressed the button for the basement level.
Susan was surely waiting in the lobby for her signal.
But Thalassa needed to slip out of the hotel through the basement to quickly make her
way back to Royal Estates to see Atticus about deleting that video.
She had given Lysander the slip, making up an excuse to leave the room. She knew once
Lysander got started, it would be hours before he’d be satisfied.
And she couldn’t wait that long nor could Susan. If Susan didn’t get her signal in time,
she’d become a bundle of nerves and might recklessly set out on her own. If Susan found

do? Thalassa couldn’t bear the consequences.
Susan had come to the hotel prepared, with that particular drug and an assistant, and
wouldn’t give up easily. If she didn’t get the signal, she’d undoubtedly find a way to obtain
a key card and get into Lysander’s room.
Knowing that Lysander had taken the drug and wouldn’t be in his usual clear-headed
state, Susan would barge into his room without a second thought, determined to make
herself his woman.
By leaving the hotel and racing against the clock to delete the video, Thalassa would buy
herself some time. Even if Susan got impatient and went looking, she’d only find Lysander
alone, which wouldn’t drive her to madness. Instead, Susan would likely try to seduce
Lysander, to claim him for herself.
Thalassa reached the basement floor without incident and quickened her pace toward the
exit. She dialed Evelyn’s number, hoping to intercept her and direct her to Royal Estates
instead of The Draven International Hotel.
The phone rang endlessly with no answer.
Once Evelyn dropped her phone into her bag, she wouldn’t be able to hear the bell
ringing, let alone picking up the phone.
What a frustrating habit of hers!
With no response from Evelyn and no time to spare, Thalassa hailed a cab and rattled off
the address for Royal Estates, urging the driver to go on full speed.

Chapter 1021
She figured Evelyn would find her way back if she couldn’t find Thalassa.
Back at the Draven International Hotel, no sooner had Thalassa left than Evelyn arrived.
She stepped into the luxurious lobby.
She scoured the banquet hall but didn’t find Thalassa. She then spotted a man in a sharp

was the host of the event; otherwise, he wouldn’t have to please each guest with such
smooth operation.
Evelyn approached and asked, “Excuse me, young man, could you tell me where I might
find Thalassa?”
The man was Richard. He surveyed Evelyn with a curious eye upon hearing Thalassa’s
name and said, “May I ask what business you have with Thalassa?”
“Oh, I’m her mother.” Evelyn confessed. “She called me a little while ago, said she was
here and asked me to come find her.”
At the mention of being Thalassa’s mother, Richard’s demeanor warmed instantly. “You’re
Thalassa’s mother? She just went up to her hotel room. I’ll take you there.”
Evelyn, not wanting to be a bother, politely declined. “Just the room number would be fine.
I can find her myself. I wouldn’t want to take up your time.”
How could she possibly ask him to leave his guests just to escort her to a hotel room?
“Sure thing.” Richard agreed. “She’s in room 2809, on the 28th floor.”
“Thank you very much, young man.” Evelyn replied with a polite nod and headed toward
the elevator.
