Chapter 981
Elowen rubbed her chubby little hands over her bleary eyes. Squinting hard, she finally saw the sight clearly.
Someone was indeed sleeping on her bed, and it wasn’t just anyone–it was her mom!
Her eyes sparkled with surprise, lighting up as she could barely contain her excitement, exclaiming with pure joy.
“Wow, Mommy! It’s really you, Mommy!”
Thalassa was jolted awake by jubilant cries. Opening her eyes and lifting her head, she was greeted by a round,
squishy little face, beaming with an uncontrollable smile, curiously and happily looking back at her.

Elowen’s cute little form wriggled into her mother’s embrace, her head burrowing into Thalassa’s chest, her voice a
mix of glee and a hint of whining.
“Mommy, Daddy said you were gone yesterday, and me and the others were super worried about you. Did Daddy
bring you back?“
Her soft voice nearly melted Thalassa’s heart. She had always known her little ones loved her dearly, and if
anything happened to her, they would be the first to worry.
Just as she poured all her love into her children, they returned it in kind.
This mutual love was incredibly healing.
Thalassa had gone through a dark time yesterday, but today she was holding warmth in her arms.
“Yes, honey, Daddy found me. Don’t worry, Mommy’s fine now,” Tessa reassured her, holding Elowen close and
gently patting her back.
“Mmm, can you stay with us at Royal Estates from now on? That way Daddy and we can protect you. No bad guys
will take you away. again, Elowen lifted her head from her mother’s embrace, her eyes serious yet adorably
earnest.
Thalassa’s lips curved into a tender smile, “Well, Mommy has to work, sweetie.”
“Can’t you stop working? Let Daddy take care of you. And when we grow up, we can take care of you,” Elowen
pouted with her rosy lips.

Waiting up late without a sign of their parents, they had cried themselves out of any desire to sleep.
Touched by Elowen’s words, Thalassa stroked her soft cheek, “Mommy is an adult, and I can’t just stop working and
have others take care of me. I can earn my own way, you know.”
“Umm… Mommy…” Elowen’s heart ached for her mother.
“I promise, I’ll come to Royal Estates every day, okay?” Thalassa offered.
Elowen’s mood instantly brightened, “Yay, you can sleep with me every night!”
Thalassa chuckled, not directly answering.
