Chapter 1109
“Dad’s such a big meanie, not taking us to see Mommy, humph!” Atticus pouted adorably, his little
frown punctuating each word.
“Yeah, Daddy’s a big meanie, we don’t like him anymore. Daddy, don’t come back, just live with
Mommy outside!” Dorian crossed his arms and tried to look tough, though his attempt was more cute
than intimidating.
Thalassa’s heart skipped a beat; trouble seemed to find her family in waves. Rushing to smooth things
over, she explained into the phone, “Mommy was in the hospital these past few days, and you guys
had school. The timing was just off.”
“Call’s over, we’re heading back to Royal Estates now,” Lysander’s deep voice filled the space with
authority.
“Then you better hurry back, we’re waiting for you,” Atticus instructed in the final second before the call
ended.

Thinking of her children waiting for her, Thalassa didn’t wait for Lysander to speak up. “I’ll go tell my
mom, and I’ll be ready to leave immediately.”
Back at Royal Estates, after ending the video call, Atticus and Dorian exchanged a knowing smile.
They raised their hands and high-fived, their eyes crinkling with mischief.
Fitch, witnessing the kids’ antics, was initially confused by their celebratory gesture. But when he
remembered the content of their conversation on the call, it clicked.
The kids were really pulling out all the stops to get both their parents to come home.
So young, yet so shrewd, their minds worked at lightning speed.
Atticus had even coordinated his act with Dorian flawlessly.
What would they be capable of when they grew up?
Thalassa quickly informed Evelyn that she needed to be with her four children at Royal Estates.
Evelyn, fully understanding the urgency, said, “Go, dear, it’s getting late, and I’m off to bed myself.”
I’ll come back tomorrow afternoon, and I’ll see if I can bring the kids with me,” Thalassa
said.
“That would be wonderful, dear. I miss them too,” Evelyn replied with longing in her voice.
“Alright then, sleep well. I’m off, call me if you need anything,” Thalassa said before

heading out.
Thalassa and Lysander set off together, the car ride shrouded in an uncomfortable silence, making the
act of breathing a bit more difficult.
Thalassa looked out of the car window at the passing scenery, using it as a distraction from the
awkward silence.

The driver was steady at the wheel, sensing the stark contrast to the icy tension that had enveloped
Lysander earlier.
It seemed Ms. Everhart had managed to soothe the beast in Mr. Sinclair, sparing him any collateral
frostbite.
Before long, they arrived at Royal Estates. Thalassa was the first to jump out of the car as soon as it
stopped.
The children had been waiting eagerly for Thalassa, and at the sound of the car’s engine, they burst
out of the house.
“Mommy!”
All four little ones shouted in unison, racing towards her and diving into her arms.
Thalassa staggered back a step under the force of their enthusiastic charge, but her face was alight
with joy. “My darlings, Mommy’s missed you so much.”
“Mmm, we missed Mommy too,” Dorian nuzzled against Thalassa’s belly, expressing how much he had
missed her.
Just as Thalassa was about to hug Dorian, Lysander’s large hand grasped the boy’s collar and pulled
him away, “Stay away from your mother!” he commanded with a half-joking
sternness.
