Chapter 93 Free To Pursue Corynn
After reading the evidence, Jeremy snorted dismissively, “It’s no big deal. We can just pay her off if that’s what
it takes!”
Kaden was taken aboack. Jeremy seemed completely indifferent to the impact on others’ lives.
It was clear where Amanda got her attitude; the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
No wonder Elliot had reservations. Who would willingly entangle themselves with such a family?
Kaden thought better than to voice these concerns aloud, fearing Amanda's backlash.
Jeremy, looking directly at Elliot, suggested, “Our families have always been on good terms. Why don’t you just
apologize to Amanda, and we can forget this ever happened?”
To Jeremy, this seemed like trivial women’s issues that money could easily resolve.
There was no need to strain relations between their families over something so insignificant.
“It seems we haven't reached a consensus,” Elliot replied calmly.

“What are you trying to say, Elliot? You still want to argue? | haven't even started with you yet!” Jeremy
snapped.
His demeanor was domineering, fiercely protective of his family. He defended them staunchly, regardless of the
circumstances or the morality of the situation.
“I will announce publicly tomorrow that the marriage arrangement between our families is canceled,” Elliot
stated firmly. He turned to Amanda, adding sternly, “And Amanda, | hope this is the last time. If you attempt to
harm Corynn again, | won't be so lenient. What you've done could land you in prison for years.”
Amanda shivered with rage, not fear.
She was furious that Elliot would treat her so harshly all for Corynn’s sake!
Jeremy glared at Elliot and snapped, “Don’t get too cocky. I'm not out of the picture yet!”
How could the daughter of the Willis family be jailed for such a trivial matter? Elliot must be delusional!
“Mr. Willis, there are things in this world that money can’t fix,” Elliot countered. With that, he turned and walked
away, leaving the room charged with unresolved tension.
Fortunately, Corynn was unharmed, or the consequences would have been dire.
“Then letmake this clear, Elliot. It's not your decision to end the engagement. Call Owen here!” Jeremy's
voice boomed, his chest heaving with emotion.

He intended to discuss the matter with Owen and confirm whether the engagement was still on.
Elliot paused, then responded coolly, “Go ahead.”
He had always believed that decisions about his marriage were his to make, not Owen's.
From the moment he recognized his true feelings, the dissolution of the marriage arrangement between the
Andrews and Willis families was inevitable.
“If you dare cancel the engagement tomorrow, I'll make sure you regret it!” Jeremy shouted after him.
Elliot, seemingly unfazed by Jeremy's threats, walked away without a backward glance.

Elliot had anticipated potential conflicts between the two families when he decided to confront Amanda today.
He might have compromised on another matter, but Amanda’s attack on Corynn crossed a line he could not
ignore.
He could no longer tolerate it.
With the relationship between the two families effectively over, there was no longer any need to maintain
cordialities with the Willis family.
As Elliot settled into his car, he instructed, “Kaden, increase the surveillance on Corynn. Also, inform me
immediately of any actions taken by the Willis family.”
“Got it,” Kaden responded promptly.
Relieved to have resolved the issue of the engagement, Elliot exhaled deeply.
Now, he was free to pursue Corynn without any reservations.
Reflecting on the past, he thought about how different things might have been if he had acknowledged his
feelings three years earlier-they might have already had a toddler.
But that was irrelevant now. They had the opportunity to start anew.
This time, it was he who would initiate their romance.
