Chapter 767 Hospital.

Cameron was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

When Greta found out Cameron had been injured, she dragged her frail self to the hospital. She got there just in tto hear the doctor lay out his condition: "Mr. Dawson, we've run a full examination. You've got two broken ribs, a ruptured spleen, and a concussion..." Greta's eyes widened in shock. "Who did this to you?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Cameron's face was swollen beyond recognition, and the usually proud and aloof man struggled to speak. "It was Nathalie," he mumbled.

Greta stared, disbelief etched on her face. "How could she do this to you?" Cameron couldn't help but find the question bitterly ironic. Once, Nathalie had adored him, admired him, loved him her feelings were so vivid that everyone thought they were inseparable. But now, recalling those feelings seemed like recounting a far-fetched fairy tale.

It felt unreal, like an unreachable dream.

"She truly hates me," Cameron said, unable to hide his defeat. Sometimes he would reflect and quietly ask himself: How did he manage to lose a woman who once loved him so deeply? Greta was furious. "I have to confront her..." Cameron, exhausted, replied, "Don't. She's got no love left for either of us, only endless hatred. If you go, she might not spare you." Greta turned pale, struggling to believe that the gentle and kind Nathalie had turned so dark. She slumped into a chair. "It's because we caused Nathan's death that she despises us so deeply." Cameron closed his eyes, letting out a heavy sigh.

"She left you like this, and we're just going to let her get away with it?" Greta asked.

Cameron's eyes flashed with unyielding resolve. "If I let her get away with this, would she ever takeseriously again?" Greta nodded. "What are you going to do?" "I'm going to file a lawsuit against her." Greta quickly jumped on board. "Alright, I'll help you." On Cameron's second day in the hospital, an unexpected visitor showed up.

Cameron looked at the man in front of him—a man in his fifties, yet still dashing and elegant and couldn't hide his surprise.

"And you are?" Lincoln stepped forward, looking down at Cameron. His expression was stern. "Are you Cameron?" "That's me." After a day of rest and recovery, Cameron's eyes were noticeably less swollen, and his speech was clearer.

Lincoln scrutinized him carefully. "You're the one who married my daughter and then tossed her aside?" Cameron broke out in a cold sweat, finally realizing the man was the new head of the Stewart family. "You're Mr. Lincoln?" "Indeed."

Cameron had a good idea why he was here and knew how to handle this. "You've cfor Ashley, haven't you? As you can see, she attacked me. If I press charges, she'll end up serving stime." Lincoln let out a derisive snort. "She did well. In fact, she didn't go far enough." Cameron was taken aback.

"A lenient parent raises a spoiled child. Mr. Lincoln, by indulging your daughter's misbehavior, you're only inviting trouble," Cameron countered.

Lincoln's expression remained icy, his tone mocking. "Cameron, you play a good double standard. You coulch han my daughter, but she can't hold you accountable? Even if the world judged this case, they'd praise her for rising as a queen, while you, Cameron, would be seen as getting what you deserve."
