Chapter 432

"Vera, you've been staring atfor a while now. What do you want to know?" Dominic murmured, his breath

grazing Vespera's cheek.

What did Dominic mean by that? Vespera's brain short-circuited for a second. Then, she shook her head,

snapping herself out of that inappropriate train of thought.

She pushed his face away and replied sternly, "First of all, I'm not curious. After all, curiosity kills. And second,

she wasn't calling for us. She was calling for you. She was only calling for you."

In her head, she added, "You always attract trouble wherever you go."

Dominic fell silent. He looked at Vespera for a while before chuckling. He didn't look the least bit offended. In

fact, he seemed to be enjoying her reprimand. Wrapping his arms around her waist again, he leaned in and said,

"Why don't | catch that ghost and make her call for you, too?"

Vespera was rendered speechless. She snapped, shoving him away, "No need. You can have that honor all to

yourself."

It was burning hot here. Why was he glued to her?

Vespera pushed Dominic off, but not even a moment later, he leaned in again, clinging to her. Her patience was

wearing thin. The longer they stayed in the room, the worse she felt. It felt stuffy, and her head was spinning.

And for sreason, she was irritated and in a bad mood.

She removed the jacket, feeling sweat trickling down her back. Even her hair was sticking to her skin. Although

she was frowning, she looked seductive.

Dominic's breathing grew heavier. He slid a hand up her back and massaged gently as he said, "If you're tired,

rest for a while."

Vespera nodded and leaned against his shoulder, closing her eyes. However, the restless feeling wouldn't let her

settle. She inched closer to his neck. The warmth of his body and familiar scent were comforting.

A while later, she whispered, "I feel dizzy. How do you feel?"

"I'm fine," answered Dominic. He wiped the sweat from her temple, but his hand continued to slide down,

making her breath hitch.

Vespera asked, "Could it be something in the dessert?"

Dominic said, "Don't jump to conclusions. It might not be the food. It could be the environment. Such castles are

full of spirits. The magnetic fields mess with your brain, affecting your emotions and making you hallucinate. It's

normal. Just remind yourself it's all in your head, and you'll be fine."

Vespera opened her eyes and stared at him. She said, "You're the one hallucinating!"

As they were close to one another, Dominic could feel her warm breath on his face. His eyes darkened, and his

expression shifted. Then, he lowered his head and kissed her.

Immediately, Vespera's eyes widened. How could Dominic be in the mood for this right now?

Feeling his tongue in her mouth, she bit him and shoved him away. With her face flushed, she glared at him and

said, "Aren't you afraid that there are high- definition security cameras here?"

Dominic held her hand and said with a straight face, "You looked really tense, so | thought this might help you

relax."

Vespera thought, "It was way too relaxed."

Vespera scooted to the far end of the couch, putting sspace between them. Dominic followed. When she

leaned forward, her back was exposed, making him want more. His hand slid to her waist as he called out,

"Vera..."

Vespera felt dizzy. She wanted to sleep, but the heat pressing against her waist made her tense. What was

Dominic doing now?

She wanted to get up and turn around, but she felt something wet and warm on her waist. She almost shrieked.

She shouted, "Dominic, don't..."

There was definitely something wrong with this room. Vespera lacked strength and was dizzy while Dominic was

acting like he was in heat.
