With the party ruined, the guests didn’t bother to hide their discomfort and began to leave.
Yet, Grace felt an odd urge to stay and see what would go down.
Antoand Janelle were stuck in a nasty fight nearby. Grace couldn’t catch their words, but Antonio's furious
look said it all.
In their three years together, Grace had never seen him this out of control.

Janelle took a moment to find the right words, then fired back, “I'm his unforgettable first love. And you still don’t
get it, do you? Tino’s already decided to dump you and cback to me. Just thought I'd give you a heads-up
out of pity.”
Not giving Grace a second to react, Janelle pointed at the huge, fancy cake behind her. “I bet | can make it
happen right now?”
Then, in a tic flair, Janelle fell backward, covering herself in cream and hitting her head on the table
corner.
The loud crash brought people rushing in, and soon the place was packed again. Not knowing what had

Janelle wasn’t responding. Antowhipped his head around to Grace, fire in his eyes. “She did nothing to you.
Why did you hurt her?”
Grace tried to get a word in, but Antowasn’t having it. He bolted for the door, carrying Janelle.
“I didn’t hurt her. She did it to herself. Check the security tapes,” Grace yelled after him.
Hearing this, he turned, his face cold. “Grace, | was wrong about you. Leave. You're not welchere anymore,”
he said, each word clear and cutting.
