Chapter 815 She was done dealing with his parade of admirers. As long as they kept out of her face, they could do whatever they wanted. She just couldn't deal with it anymore.
Everett let out a mocking laugh.
"Selena, feeling a bit high and mighty, aren't we?" He lifted her chin with a teasing touch, his thumb brushing her lips in a way that was more than suggestive. "Are you jealous?" Selena's mind unwillingly replayed the scene she had just witnessed. Breanne's neckline was a roadmap of kisses. Nausea hit her like a wave, and she snapped, "Don't touchwith your filthy hands!" She shoved Everett away, fighting back the urge to gag.
His anger flared up immediately. His hand wrapped around Selena's slender neck, and it was clear that just a bit more pressure could cut off her air.

When I want you, you have to play your part! Isn't that what you signed up for?" Blinded by rage, all Everett wanted was to shut her down, to make her stop with those cold, hurtful words.
He kissed her hard, ignoring her struggles, pinning her to the couch. He forced her lips apart, his tongue invading as his hands roamed under her clothes. After two weeks of self-control, touching her felt like gasoline on a fire he was completely undone.
He didn't get it-there were other women, but none of them got to him like Selena did. This frustrating woman was all he wanted. Even though she ignored him, upset him, and hurt him, she was the only one he craved.
Their strength wasn't even close to matched; Selena was quickly overwhelmed. Everett claimed his victory, savoring her body without noticing the pain in her eyes.
Eventually, Selena stopped fighting. She turned her face away, burying it in the sofa, silently enduring his onslaught.
Everett thought she had finally given in, until he tasted the salt of her tears.
That bitterness stopped him cold. He slowly lifted his head, turning Selena's face towards him with a cold touch, only to be met with her tear streaked face and the pain etched there.
Everett was stunned. An explosive pain ripped through his chest.
"Selena," he asked, almost not wanting to hear the answer, "do you really hatethat much?" There was a twhen she would forgive him, no matter what he did. Now, despite everything he'd done for her, all she felt was disgust and resistance.
Why? Why! A brief shimmer of tears appeared in Everett's eyes, gone as quickly as they came.

He got up from beside her, looking at her disheveled, miserable state. He didn't bother to help her, just gave a cold laugh and muttered, "How disappointing." Then he stormed out, slamming the door behind him so hard it echoed.
Selena closed her eyes in pain.
It took her a while to pull herself together. She sat up sat up trembling as she fixed her clothes and hair, then finally left the room.
Behind her, a taunting voice cut through the air.
"Selena, how does it feel to go from the main act to just a plaything?"
