"Can you be good?" | sighed. "I'll stay with you later. You drank so much wine and need to drink swater.
Otherwise, your mouth will be uncomfortably dry after you fall asleep." Theo's gaze was still dazed. He nodded
to agree but still did not get off of me.
| pushed him hard. After pushing for a long tbut to no avail, | said with a face full of helplessness, "Theo, if
you keep doing this then none of us will get any sleep tonight."
Fortunately, he was only drunk and not dumb. He let go ofand letget up from the bed.
| went downstairs and brought swater upstairs to feed Theo.
When he was done drinking water, he leaned against the bed and closed his eyes.
| was unsure if he was asleep. Seeing that it was getting late, | gave the Louises a call.
It took a long tfor someone to pick up the phone, and Petra was the one who answered it. Before | could say
anything, she said in a panic, "When are you coming back, Wanda? Munchkin is down with a slight fever. | was

"He's down with a fever?" | was anxious. "How is he? Is it very serious?"
"Not very serious."
| felt relieved. "Glad to hear that."
Probably because he was a premature baby, Munchkin would fall sick once every change of season but it was
never serious. He usually recovered quickly after taking
medicine.
"When are you guys coming back?" Petra urgedagain.
"We're not going back tonight. We cback home." | glanced at Theo. "Please take care of Munchkin for me.
The temperature changes drastically in the morning and evening when seasons change. Munchkin will usually
fall sick during this time, but it's usually not very serious. You can just give him spills."
"I suspect it's the season change too, but he'll repeatedly catch a fever and it'll go away after he takes his pills.
However, he'll start having a fever again after a few days. The family doctor has visited several times but can't
figure out what's wrong. If you're free tomorrow, then do take him to the doctor to get him checked. I'm a little
worried."
| comforted her, saying, "Okay, don't worry too much. I'll go back earlier tomorrow and take him to the doctor."
It was normal for a child to catch a fever, but if the child had recurring fevers, then it was bound to leave the two
elderly people worried.
| urged them to go to bed early and hung up the call.
After the call, Theo seemed to have fallen asleep.
| placed the phone on the bedside table and tiptoed into the bathroom.
After washing up and coming out of the bathroom, | got ready to go to bed.
Little did | know, Theo suddenly opened his eyes and startled me.
He held my hand and asked with a gravely serious expression, "Wanda, let's try for another baby?"

He was truly drunk to mention tothat he wanted another child.
| pursed my lips. "Go to sleep."
Theo nodded obediently and closed his eyes to sleep.
| sat on the edge of the bed and looked at him with a complicated look on my face.
Cassey had also just askedif | was really not planning to have another child with Theo.
| really wanted to tell her that | wanted more than anything to have my own child with Theo, but this was simply
never going to happen. Now that Theo was askingthe squestion, | truly felt my heart aching.
| thought Theo had given up on wanting a child, but I did not expect him to voice out his wish for a child when he
was in a drunken stupor.

It made sense. How could he not want a child of his own?
